Fantasy Football Week 11 IDP Waiver Wire Pickups: DeMarvion Overshown, Taylor Rapp, Calijah Kancey and More
Here are some IDP options you should be targeting on the waiver wire this week.
Linebackers
DeMarvion Overshown, Dallas Cowboys
Overshown continues to show out, as he has taken a stranglehold on an every-down role in Dallas. He posted another monster stat line this week, making 11 tackles (eight solo) and two sacks.
The concern is that he did leave with a knee injury, but it's believed to be minor and there is a good shot he plays next week. At this point, he should be added in just about every IDP league in existence.
Blake Cashman, Minnesota Vikings
Cashman is back in full swing with the Vikings as their top linebacker after an extended absence. In his first game back on Sunday after missing more than a month, he racked up five tackles (three solo) and a sack. His production should only continue to increase as he gets healthier.
Azeez Al-Shaair, Houston Texans
Al-Shaair is another linebacker who returned from a lengthy injury in Week 10. He came back with a bang, posting a big game with eight tackles (five solo) and a forced fumble. Expect him to remain an LB1 moving forward who may have been forgotten on your waiver wire in some leagues.
Jahlani Tavai, New England Patriots
Tavai has been an up and down option this season. His production and his playing time has been inconsistent. However, due to injuries in New England, he has seen a massive spike in production the past two weeks.
Over that span, he has racked up 20 tackles (13 solo), a sack and an interception. It seems his production is linked to the healthy of Marte Mapu and Kyle Dugger. So this is a situation you'll have to monitor before deploying him with confidence.
Jack Gibbens, Tennessee Titans
It is now locked in that Gibbens is an every-down player for the Titans. Over the past two weeks, he has a whopping 29 tackles (14 solo) and have a sack with eight tackles (four solo) the previous game. Lock him in as high-floor option moving forward because there is no reason to believe he won't be a high-volume tackler for the remainder of the season. Jerome Baker doesn't appear to be the threat we thought he could be when the team traded for him.
Defensive Backs
Tre'von Moehrig, Las Vegas Raiders
Moehrig is quietly putting together a solid season and is coming off a season-best 13 tackle (eight solo) game. His worst games since Week 1 was a five-tackle game and he's chipped in with a few picks to go with his consistent tackle production. This is a safety worth snatching up if you need someone to plug in who will give you consistent production on a weekly basis.
Taylor Rapp, Buffalo Bills
Rapp has seen an uptick in production after a slow start to the season. Over the past five games since the calendar flipped to October, he has tallied 37 tackles and snatched his first pick of the season last week.
In his first five games of the season, he managed 13 tackles. The arrow is pointing up for Rapp, who seems to be finding himself in this Bills' defense - a defense that has left a ton of tackles to be made by their defensive backs.
Jeremy Chinn, Washington Commanders
Chinn is another player getting comfortable in a new systerm. He had been slowly improving before exploding over the past two weeks. In those two games, he racked up 26 tackles (13 solo) and added a pick and fumble recovery in Week 10.
We've seen him be a high-end fantasy contributor in the past and he seems to be getting back to that in his new role in Washington. It's starting to look like it did during his glory days in Carolina.
Defensive Line
Calijah Kancey, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Kancey is having a strong sophomore season and the former first-round pick is coming off the best game of his season. On the season, he now has 17 tackles (15 solo) and four sacks in five games. This past week, he managed five solo tackles with two sacks and a forced fumble.
It makes all the sense in the world for this young player to continue to improve as he gets more experience and only get better from here. His snap count is also consistently up over 65% as well, which is a strong mark from a young defensive lineman, which is another number that could also increase as he continues to have a major impact his defense.
