After looking at offensive fantasy takeaways from Saturday and Sunday games, it’s time to look at the top IDP performances and injuries from those two days.

Also be sure to check out fantasy takeaways from Wednesday and Thursday, with some IDP top performers mentioned in both those stories.

Top Tacklers

Miami’s Tyrel Dodson leads the league with 15 total tackles this week. He also picked off a pass to deliver a monster fantasy score. He hasn’t played much since joining the Dolphins, but would be a great week 18 option if you are playing then and the team’s injury report included a couple linebackers, like it did this week.

Denver’s Riley Moss, Indianapolis’ Zaire Franklin and Carolina’s Chandler Wooten all had 14 tackles.

Moss had his first double-digit tackle performance since week 1. For a cornerback, 85 total tackles are a good amount, and it makes Moss a solid weekly IDP option.

Franklin had a forced fumble along with his 14 tackles. He’s got at least seven tackles in five straight games, and with several other splash plays this season, he’s one of the better fantasy IDP options out there.

Wooten played in just his fourth game, and has 21 tackles for the season, so this big performance was really out of nowhere. He’d be another streaming option for week 18.

Denver’s Brandon Jones and New Orleans’ Pete Werner and Demario Davis all had 13 tackles.

Jones has nine or more tackles in three straight. With 114 tackles and a few other splash plays on the season, the safety is a good IDP option every week.

Werner has 92 tackles on the season now, and at least six in six straight contests. His value is all in tackles, but on those alone, Werner is a solid weekly option.

Davis was in double figures for a third straight week and for the sixth time on the season. He’s mostly just a tackler too, but there’s enough production there to keep starting him.

Atlanta’s Jessie Bates III and Carolina’s Xavier Woods had 12 tackles each.

Bates also had a sack on Sunday. He has 97 tackles on the season, and while his tackle production has been sporadic of late, his splash plays make him a good weekly IDP option.

Woods got into double figures as a tackler for just the second time this season. He does have 114 tackles and three interceptions, which is enough to start him in a lot of IDP leagues.

Green Bay’s Javon Bullard and Edgerrin Cooper, Minnesota’s Blake Cashman, Jacksonville’s Foyesade Oluokun and New York Giants’ Ty Summers all tallied 11 tackles.

Bullard had the best game of his rookie season. He has 85 tackles on the season, and is a pretty decent IDP option already. Bullard’s future IDP outlook is even higher.

Cooper got in double figures for a second straight week, and now has 80 tackles on the season. He has at least six tackles in six straight games, and is a good weekly option, at least as long as Quay Walker is out. Cooper could be a fantasy IDP star for years to come (once he takes over the top LB role in Green Bay).

Cashman had 1.5 sacks among his 11 tackles on Sunday. He recorded his fifth double-digit tackle outing, and has 104 across 13 games. Cashman is a good weekly IDP option.

Oluokun reached double-digit tackles for the fourth time this season. He has 98 tackles across 12 games, and on that alone, Oluokun is a good weekly option.

Summers stepped into a lead linebacker role and posted his first double-digit tackle outing of the season. If Micah McFadden is out for week 18, Summers would be a sneaky good IDP option again.

Giants’ Jason Pinnock, Carolina’s Jacoby Windmon, New York Jets’ Quincy Williams and Jamien Sherwood, New England’s Jahlani Tavai and Los Angeles Rams’ Kam Curl and Omar Speights all had 10 tackles.

Pinnock has six or more tackles in four straight games, which makes him a pretty solid weekly IDP option.

Windmon had a half-sack among his 10 tackles. He had eight tackles a week ago and is another sneaky good option for week 18.

Williams posted his third double-digit tackle outing of the season. He has 107 tackles overall and has a couple other splash plays, making him another pretty good IDP option when he’s out there.

Tavai has six or more tackles in 10 of the last 11 games. He has 111 tackles overall, and even without a bunch of other splash plays, Tavai is a good weekly option.

Curl posted his first double-digit tackle performance this season. He has 79 tackles overall, which is a solid number for a safety.

Sherwood has eight or more tackles in four straight, making him a good weekly option. He has 152 tackles on the season and will finish as one of the top IDP players this season.

Speights had his second contest with double-digit tackles. He has 64 tackles on the season, with all but one of those over the past 10 contests. Speights is a good deep-league option right now.

Other Standouts

Denver’s Zach Allen had 3.5 sacks among his seven total tackles. He now has 8.5 sacks on the season, so while this was a bit of an outlier game, Allen is still a decent weekly IDP option.

Cleveland’s Myles Garrett had two sacks among his four tackles. Everyone knows Garrett is one of the top pass rushers in the league, and with four over the past four games, he’s ending the year on a bit of a hot streak. Keep him in those lineups.

Los Angeles Chargers’ Derwin James Jr. had two sacks for his only tackles on Saturday. He also forced a fumble. With 90 tackles, 5.5 sacks, the forced fumble and a pick on the season, James is a good weekly option, with a pretty high ceiling.

Rams’ Braden Fiske had two sacks on Saturday. He has eight sacks and 43 tackles on the season, making him a good weekly option as just a rookie. His future is very bright.

Cincinnati’s Joseph Ossai had a half-sack among his eight tackles and also forced a fumble on Saturday. He has 45 tackles and a few other splash plays on the season. With all of those sacks over the past five games, Ossai is a sneaky good week 18 option.

Philadelphia’s C.J. Gardner-Johnson had just one tackle, but picked off two passes on Sunday. He returned one for a touchdown. Gardner-Johnson has 59 tackles, 12 passes defensed and six picks on the season, making him a very good cornerback fantasy option.

Injury Roundup

Cleveland’s Denzel Ward (shoulder) and Jordan Hicks (head) left with injuries this week. Ward is a top-end cornerback in the league and has played nearly every snap, so his absence would make throwing against Cleveland even easier in week 18. Hicks plays most of the snaps when he’s active and has 78 tackles across 12 games, making him another big loss if he misses week 18.

Minnesota’s Pat Jones II suffered a knee injury and isn’t expected to play in week 18 at least. He has seven sacks, so his absence will hurt a Vikings’ team needing a win over the Lions in week 18 to take the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Jets’ Sauce Gardner left with a hamstring injury. He’s one of the top corners in the league, and probably won’t play in week 18 with the Jets well out of playoff contention. His absence will open some playing time for another Jets’ corner.

Tampa Bay’s Jamel Dean left because of an injury to his knees. He plays nearly every snap, so if he misses week 18, another Bucs’ cornerback will be asked to cover a bunch of his snaps.
