While perusing NFL.com today, I came across a pair of articles that caught my eye.

Both stories are focused on possible cut candidates. Here's the NFC story, and the AFC article. I think it would be fun to identify landing spots for some of the offensive fantasy players mentioned, so I decided to make a story out of it. We'll also break things down into NFC and AFC stories, starting with AFC players.

Let's dive in!

Davante Adams' Landing Spots

Adams is listed as a cut candidate on the New York Jets. So is Allen Lazard, but Adams is the bigger fantasy name, so we'll focus on him.

There are so many teams that would love to add a top-end receiver to their team, but given Adams' age and status, getting him to a contender seems like the most likely route.

The Arizona Cardinals have the cap space to sign Adams and could use Adams as a mentor for Marvin Harrison Jr. I don't know if Arizona is a contender at this point, but a couple signings and a strong draft class could put them in the conversation.

I'm not sure if Baltimore could create enough cap space to land Adams, but the Ravens could definitely use him. He'd immediately become the top option there, and make the team's pass game much more formidable.

If the Bengals aren't able to retain Tee Higgins, Adams could be a player they pivot to. Can you imagine a Cincinnati offense powered by Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and Adams?

The Denver Broncos could probably sign Adams too. I'm not sure he wants to join a team with such a young quarterback, but I think Denver is close enough to title contention to interest Adams plenty.

I don't think the Detroit Lions need a receiver, but they have the cap space to sign Adams for sure. Detroit would be better off spending that money on defensive players probably.

A reunion with Adams and the Green Bay Packers is probably on the table too. He could come back and mentor some young pass catchers on the team, and give the team a boost in its pursuit of a title.

Indianapolis feels like it's close enough to contention to appeal to Adams. The Colts have the cap space to get a deal done probably, but I'm not sure it'd be the wisest move.

The Chargers have a ton of cap space, and with Los Angeles being a playoff team in 2024, Adams going there makes plenty of sense.

The Rams are another LA team who could be interested in Adams. It'd be kind of weird to move off Cooper Kupp then add Adams, but I don't think it's too crazy.

Pittsburgh is another team that could make this move work for Adams. I think the Steelers have much bigger needs, but I definitely wouldn't rule this move out.

The Niners could also have interest in Adams, especially if they move off Deebo Samuel Sr. San Fran might be able to make the deal work too, but will probably prioritize its own players first.

Washington has cap space to spend and a need at receiver, so Adams going there makes some sense too. I'd think the Commanders would want to spend their cap space on defense though, but a 1-2 punch of Adams and Terry McLaurin would be fun.

Travis Kelce's and Mark Andrews' Landing Spots

I'm going to throw Kelce and Andrews into the same section because they are both veteran tight ends who want to play for contenders.

Maybe just swapping the tight ends would work? Honestly, I don't see either of these tight ends getting moved.

The Bengals could be interested in the veteran tight ends should they become available. Again though, retaining Higgins would be the first priority, and there's probably bigger needs on defense that the team should address.

I think one of the more likely landing spots for a free agent tight end is with the Broncos. Denver hasn't had a true tight end in a couple years, and getting a veteran like Kelce or Andrews could do wonders for the offense and the team's title chances.

Indianapolis could make some sense as well. The Colts definitely need a go-to tight end, but that would be a move that wouldn't make too much sense to me. They have bigger needs.

Another very likely landing spot for a veteran TE could be with the Chargers or Rams. They both have the cap space to add one, and also could really use a tight end they could trust. I think it's more likely the Chargers go after a veteran TE.

Christian Kirk's Landing Spots

Kirk is another AFC receiver who is listed as a cut candidate.

Teams that need receiver help, but have bigger needs, might be a touch more interested in Kirk, as his asking price is going to be much lower than a guy like Adams. A non-contender might also make the signing.

Arizona, Baltimore, Carolina, Chicago, Cincinnati, Denver, Detroit, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, both Los Angeles teams, New England, the New York Jets, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Tampa Bay, Tennessee and Washington could all be interested in some capacity.
