As we get closer to the 2025 NFL Draft, it's time to start doing our pre-draft position rankings.

We'll be breaking down the film of all the players at the key fantasy positions to get you ready for the NFL Draft, dynasty rookie drafts, and you're 2025 fantasy football season. We will start with the top seven quarterbacks in this year's class.

1. Cameron Ward, Miami Hurricanes

Ward is far and away the best quarterback in this draft class. He should be the first overall pick and it shouldn't even be a second thought.

Whether the Tennessee Titans want to select him or trade the pick for a haul, simply picking a different player would be a disaster. There is only one locked-in, sure-fire NFL-ready quarterback in this draft and Ward is that guy. Whoever drafts him will have secured their starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. His bust potential is extremely low and his upside is through the roof.

2. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes

Sanders is safely the No. 2 quarterback in this draft, however, he is on an island. He grades out significantly behind Ward and should not be selected with a single-digit pick. The potential is there, but he's far from a finished product who projects to be a star rookie.

On the other hand, he also grades out well ahead of the No. 3 quarterback and is one of only two QBs who deserve to be drafted in the first round at all. We expect someone to take a risk and reach for him. Where he lands and how he is developed will go a long way in determining his NFL success, or lack thereof.

3. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss Rebels

Scouts have fallen in love with Dart and there are a lot of things to like about him. There are times you watch him and he looks unbelievable, both from a physical and intelligence standpoint. However, he has also displayed inconsistency at the college level.

It will be important for him to play within himself in the NFL, and he is a player who will need to be well protected so he doesn't get happy feet. Still, all the pieces are there and he can be a starter on the next level if he puts them all together. He's worthy of a second-round selection.

4. Jalen Milroe, Alabama Crimson Tide

Milroe has bust written all over him. He's about as raw as they come as a passer, but he's physically unbelievable.

The obvious comparison for Milroe is Anthony Richardson. Any team that drafts Milroe will have to have patience and be willing to build a system around his skillset. He shouldn't be drafted higher than the third round, nonetheless, if you are drafting a quarterback late in Day 2, you might as well shoot for the stars with an unbelievable athlete with infinite upside.

5. Quinn Ewers, Texas Longhorns

Ewers is the safer pick than Milroe and projects as a potential solid backup quarterback in the NFL. His ceiling is limited and his play in 2024 really devalued his draft stock.

We would have no issues if anybody ranked him over Milroe because he is a better quarterback. We simply went for ceiling over floor here. He should be selected as a late Day 2 or early Day 3 pick in the NFL Draft.

6. Kyle McCord, Syracuse Orange

McCord is an NFL-ready backup quarterback. He's a fully-developed pocket passer with a high football IQ. This is the perfect kind of early Day 3 pick.

On film, he shows a quick release, accuracy, and good decision-making. His lack of athleticism and escapability will limit him on the next level. He will also have to refine his mechanics and understand that he won't be able to thread the needle of some of those tight windows he hit at Cuse against NFL defensive backs.

7. Will Howard, Ohio State

Howard has an NFL arm but also has a lot of issues in his game. He has flawed mechanics and erratic accuracy. There is also a noticeable lack of processing and going through progressions when you watch him on film.

It will take a ton of development for him to become a viable NFL quarterback, nevertheless, he does have the physical gifts that you can't teach. Some team will take a shot on him in Day 3 and potentially find a hidden gem if they can develop him to his full potential.
