November 3 Fantasy Hockey Goalie Matchup Rankings: Dan Vladar, Igor Shesterkin, Filip Gustavsson and More
Sunday's goalie matchups in terms of opponent goals and shots per game.
Sundays during the NFL season are football days. Nothing else even comes close to mid-season football games around this time. NHL games have an advantage, though, because of their teams in Canada.
The NBA has a big international fan base, and the Raptors are in Toronto, but Canada is hockey. A country of people who love their sport and probably don’t care much about the NFL will always keep their eyes on hockey.
Let’s run through Sunday’s fantasy goalie rankings by the measure of opponent shots per game and goals per game. The rankings of those stats were compared to give each team a matchup score. A positive number means a team shoots more and scores less goals, giving more quality save opportunities.
These rankings have nothing to do with goalie abilities: It’s all about the matchup. I listed both goalies who have played this season for each team, so be sure to check the starter before game time so you have the right guy in your lineup. All stats are from NHL.com.
