Some have called it the “Tank Bowl,” and others are calling it a clash between two of the most hapless teams in the NFL. Whatever you want to call it, the New England Patriots and New York Giants will go to battle on Sunday.
The Patriots are coming off a bye week after dropping one of their worst losses of the season to the Indianapolis Colts. In a game where the defense managed to hold a top-10 Colts offense to only 10 points, the Patriots offense only mustered two field goals in the AFC matchup.
Mac Jones was benched in the game for Bailey Zappe, and there has been a quarterback conundrum in New England ever since

Game News
The bye week served the New England Patriots well enough to get key playmakers back in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.
After a week of rest, the Patriots will have Trent Brown, J.C. Jackson, DeVante Parker and Ja’Whaun Bentley all back in the lineup. Rookie wide receiver Kayshon Boutte also received the nod over Jalen Reagor to play against the Giants.
Brown being back on the field should help boost a Patriots offensive line that struggled against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10. The unit gave up five sacks in a game where quarterback Mac Jones was benched
The Patriots didn't make any public announcements about their plans at quarterback heading into Sunday's game against the Giants and Bailey Zappe said on Friday that there had not been an in-house announcement either.
“But you can’t say anything about the refs in this league," Jabrill Peppers said. "To me, that’s a joke."
The New England Patriots came within a 35-yard field goal of completing a comeback rally and pushing Sunday’s game against the New York Giants into overtime.
But for the ninth time this season, it wasn’t meant to be for the Patriots. Rookie kicker Chad Ryland shanked the field goal, and New England slumped to 2-9 on the season.
With the playoffs out of reach, Patriots fans were actually celebrating the team’s demise on social media with the hope that the loss could land them a higher 2024 NFL draft pick
The Patriots lost 10-7 to the Giants on Sunday, so there was no bye week magic done by head coach Bill Belichick to get his team on track after a 2-8 start to the season.
Xavier McKinney set up Randy Bullock's go-ahead 42-yard field goal midway through the fourth quarter with New York's third interception of New England's woeful QBs, and the Giants held on to beat the Patriots 10-7 on Sunday.
As Brian Daboll tries to become the first Giants coach to not get fired in two seasons or less, he's got some stuff to deal with.
In a battle between two of the league’s worst teams, the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots, 10-7, on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Not much was expected coming into this contest but the Giants were able to control the game script and string together their first back-to-back victories of the season.
The defense played an enormous part in this victory, holding the Patriots to just one score on the day. However, the player of the game in this contest was rookie wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who exploded with several big plays to help lead to scoring drives for the offense
The New York Giants completed their most recent kicker swap ahead of a Week 12 game against the New England Patriots, signing Randy Bullock from their practice squad to the active roster.
Bullock, who was maxed out on gameday elevations, fills the roster spot vacated by fellow kicker Cade York, who was waived earlier this week.
After clearing waivers, York was signed back to the practice squad.
Despite the presence of York, who was signed off of the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad at the same time Graham Gano was placed on injured reserve (IR), Bullock was elevated and started each of the previous three games
The New York Giants played host to the New England Patriots on Sunday at MetLife Stadium in a matchup between two teams whose seasons have not gone as expected thus far.
On a typical late November weather day in Northern New Jersey, the NFL’s two lowest-scoring teams played as anticipated. The over/under at game time was 33.5. This game went well under that number.
Giants rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito made his first home start while reliable defensive line stalwart Dexter Lawrence (hamstring) missed the first game in his five seasons with Big Blue
