Based on history, this looks like the beginning of the end of Anthony Richardson's time in Indianapolis. From 2000-2022, there were 66 quarterbacks selected in the first round of the NFL draft, and 25 of those QBs were benched at some point while on their rookie contract. Mitch Trubisky is the only one who started a playoff game or was selected to the Pro Bowl with the team that drafted him after being benched, per ESPN researcher @EpKap.

And hang gliding.
@TomPelissero: Joe Flacco's one-year contract with the #Colts includes $3.7 million in incentives. That includes $100,000 for each regular-season win in which he plays 50% of the snaps. (He's also prohibited from mountain climbing and karate.) https://t.co/UdSvb6eUZR

A massive aspect of this game has been the Colts' inability to run the ball. Jonathan Taylor has 31 yards on 8 carries.
Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kwity Paye was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice to begin the week, but he popped up on the injury report on Thursday with a hamstring. He was then limited in practice the final two days of the week.
On Friday, the Colts listed Paye as questionable. The team did not make a practice squad elevation on Saturday but due to their being six defensive ends on the 53-man roster, that didn’t provide us with much insight into Paye’s status against Minnesota. However, Paye was not among the Colts’ inactive players–so he will play on Sunday night
In Week 9, the Indianapolis Colts and Michael Pittman Jr. play the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 PM ET on Sunday.

Following the Indianapolis Colts’ Week 8 matchup with the Houston Texans, Bernhard Raimann would enter concussion protocol after reporting symptoms. He did not practice at all during the week and as of Friday, remains in concussion protocols.
With Raimann not practicing at all during the week and still in concussion protocol, the Colts ruled him out of Sunday night’s game on Friday.
That still remains to be seen at this point. Ultimately, Raimann can’t be available until he is cleared and given the go ahead to return
The Indianapolis Colts have listed five players as inactive ahead of their primetime matchup on Sunday night with the Minnesota Vikings.

On game days, teams are only permitted to have 48 players active, so with Colts not making any practice squad elevations on Saturday, five players have to be inactive for Sunday’s game.

Despite practicing with Minnesota for the first time Thursday, left tackle Cam Robinson is expected to make his Vikings debut tonight vs. the Colts.
Sounds like Will Reichard had gotten hurt a bit during the week, and it worsened tonight. They're going to assess things further.
Man. Sam Darnold really needs to get that spin-out against a collapsing pocket out of his system. That sack cost 13 yards and leaves the Vikings at 3rd-and-21 from the 22.
What an unbelievable Jordan Addison catch on that TD. One-hand. Left. Pinned it. He's been on tonight.
That's a very good, very satisfying game-sealing drive. Aaron Jones was effective, and a nice Sam Darnold throw to Josh Oliver.
Dallas Turner getting a lot of run to start this half. Just came unblocked off the edge, smashed Joe Flacco.
That was a vintage Harrison Smith play on 4th down. Perfect timing on the contact to break up the pass. Let's see if the Vikings can hold on to the ball here with 5:20 remaining.
Interior of the offensive line. Disaster. Garrett Bradbury got flattened by Grover Stewart.
Entire Vikings defense was kneeling around Ivan Pace Jr., whom team medical staff was attending to on the sideline. But Pace just popped up and is walking -- briskly -- on his own to the sideline.
T.J. Hockenson will be playing tonight. Easy to forget that he caught 95 passes last year -- more than all but 13 other players in the NFL. Just a bonafide weapon in the passing game.
FINAL // Vikings 21, Colts 13. The defense responded. Rush/coverage were much better, and easier to be better against Joe Flacco. Justin Jefferson was the best player on the field. Jordan Addison was freed. The Sam Darnold experience was on full display. The record is 6-2. alec_lewis: I want to add: I thought Cam Akers was also phenomenal. Ran hard.
Byron Murphy's pick was nice, but the best part was the celly. Slung the ball against the pad at 100 mph. Joe Flacco ... not exactly blowing the doors off of things here!
Vikings Week 9 inactives: CB Akayleb Evans, CB Dwight McGlothern, LB Blake Cashman, OL Dan Feeney and OT Walter Rouse. Brett Rypien is the emergency QB. Rookie DL Levi Drake Rodriguez active for the first time this season.
The Vikings' OL in warmups: LT Cam Robinson, LG Blake Brandel, C Garrett Bradbury, RG Ed Ingram, RT Brian O'Neill.
A bit of a frantic set of goal-line plays there, but Sam Darnold finds Jalen Nailor for a 7-yard touchdown. The Vikings have scored 14 consecutive points since halftime and have the lead for the first time at 2:49 in Q3.
Josh Oliver and the Minnesota Vikings square off against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9 on Sunday at 8:20 PM ET.
