Unique Gadget Weapon Facing Declining Efficiency Entering His Age-36 Season
Taysom Hill remains one of the most volatile options in fantasy football. Approaching age 36, the veteran tight end saw a significant drop in efficiency last season, averaging just 2.1 yards per carry on 62 rushing attempts. While his multi-positional gadget usage gives him a high weekly ceiling, his floor remains dangerously low.
Our data shows that fantasy managers are keeping a close eye on him, with his rostered rate rising from 31% to 48% over the last month. This growing interest highlights his appeal as a high-upside stash in deeper leagues, despite his long-term security in the offense remaining somewhat murky.
Ultimately, Hill's fantasy value rests entirely on his ability to secure goal-line touches. Without a guaranteed high-volume role, we project him as a touchdown-dependent TE2. Unless he recaptures his prior rushing efficiency, fantasy managers should treat him as a bench option.
