Sophomore Breakout Looming for Chicago's New Primary Target
Following DJ Moore's departure, Chicago's passing offense is shifting towards its youth. Luther Burden III is positioned to take a massive step forward in his sophomore campaign. Listed as a starting outside receiver opposite Rome Odunze, Burden will play a vital role for quarterback Caleb Williams. Our models project a significant volume increase, forecasting 107 targets and 72 receptions after a promising 740-yard rookie season.
Fantasy managers are taking notice, causing Burden's draft cost to steadily climb. His ADP has risen from the mid-40s in May into the early 40s and high 30s as summer progresses. In 1.0 PPR formats, this rising cost is justified by his clear target projection. We view him as an excellent value pick in the fourth round, offering high-end WR2 upside with a reliable weekly floor.
