Adam Navigates Recent Ratio Turbulence in High-Leverage Setup Role

Jason Adam has run into a rough patch over the last seven days, pitching to a 13.85 ERA and a bloated 4.62 WHIP across three appearances. Despite these recent struggles, he remains a critical late-inning bridge for the 33-31 Padres, who sit third in the NL West. With late-inning teammate Jeremiah Estrada currently sidelined on the 15-day injured list with knee inflammation, Adam is locked in as a primary setup option in front of closer Mason Miller.
