Morales Remains Off the Nationals' Major League Radar

Yohandy Morales has not seen any Major League action recently as he continues his development in the minor leagues. Meanwhile, his parent club, the third-place Washington Nationals (39-36), are fighting to stay in the wild card hunt. Morales is currently off the active major league depth chart, with Curtis Mead occupying the primary starting role at third base.

With no active Major League data or career stats to pull from, the 24-year-old rookie remains a long-term project. While his raw physical tools are highly regarded, fantasy managers should treat him as a dynasty stash rather than an immediate redraft option. He is highly likely to face a period of adjustment whenever he finally earns a call-up.

The Nationals travel to Tampa Bay for a three-game weekend series starting Friday, where they will face tough pitching matchups including Griffin Jax (3.67 ERA) and Nick Martinez (2.60 ERA). Because Morales remains in the minors, he will not participate in any of these remaining matchups. Verdict: Sit.
