Discussing some of the top minor league players to this point in the baseball season.

The typical redraft fantasy baseball owner mostly has their eyes on MLB talent throughout the season. It’s even important for redraft owners to know about the top-performing minor leaguers, as they could get called up to the big leagues and make a difference. It’s especially important for dynasty owners to know about some of the top performing minor leaguers.

Today, I wanted to go over some of the top-performing prospects to this point in the season. We’ll focus on players 25 and younger, and have all levels of the minor leagues in our player universe. A lot of the top statistics are held by Triple-A players because their season has been going on longer.

Top Hitters

Baltimore’s Coby Mayo leads all minor leaguers with 43 total hits. He’s had 21 extra-base hits, 32 RBIs, 25 runs scored, 12 walks and 46 strikeouts, while also stealing three bases across 33 games. I’m not sure how much longer the Orioles can hold Mayo in Triple-A, so keep a very close eye on Mayo.

Pittsburgh’s Nick Gonzales has 41 hits, including 19 extra-base hits across 28 games at AAA. He’s driven in 17 runs, scored 31 times, walked 10 times and struck out on 22 occasions. Gonzales got some MLB experience a season ago, so it’s probably only a matter of time before he gets another crack at things.

Milwaukee’s Mike Boeve has played at High-A and Double-A this season, and has 40 hits in 27 combined games. He’s posted 12 extra-base hits, 13 RBIs, 17 runs, 20 walks and just 19 strikeouts. If Boeve continues to rake in the minor leagues, he could definitely appear in the major leagues before his 2026 ETA.

Deyvison De Los Santos is playing at AA for Arizona. He’s posted 39 hits, 14 of which have gone for extra bases. De Los Santos has driven in 22 runs, scored 21 times, walked on seven occasions and struck out 25 times. I’d be shocked if he isn’t playing in Triple-A soon, and there’s a decent chance he gets called up to the MLB at some point this season.

Arizona’s Andres Chaparro also has 39 hits this season, doing his work at Triple-A. Chaparro has 16 extra-base hits, 24 RBIs, 27 runs, 17 walks and 26 strikeouts. He’s not even a top-30 prospect of the D-Backs, but he could absolutely get a call up if he continues to mash in AAA.

The minor league’s top home run hitter is Houston’s Joey Loperfido. He hit 13 homers in AAA before getting called up last week. He’s hit only four singles so far in the MLB, but the power could come in time.

Mayo is second in homers with 11, while his Baltimore AAA teammate Heston Kjerstad has 10. Kjerstad is also playing in the big leagues right now, with two singles across nine at-bats so far. De Los Santos also has clubbed 10 homers this season.

Cleveland’s Kyle Manzardo is another top home run hitter that recently got called up. He hit nine homers in AAA before getting the call the other day. Manzardo struck out in all three of his at-bats in his first MLB game.

New York Yankees’ Agustin Ramirez and Cincinnati’s Ariel Almonte have nine homers each. Ramirez is playing at Double-A, while Almonte is in Single-A.

The top-two run producers are both from Single-A. Seattle’s Lazaro Montes has driven in 36 runs, while Washington’s Brandon Pimentel has 34 RBis. Montes is the Mariners’ No. 4 prospect and has a 2026 ETA, while Pimentel is not even a top-30 prospect for the Nationals.

Tampa Bay’s Chandler Simpson has a minor league-high 23 stolen bases, accomplishing that in 22 games at High-A. His elite speed tool has him viewed as a quick riser and in the major leagues at some point next season.

San Francisco’s Jonah Cox has 19 steals at Single-A in 22 games. He has an ETA of 2026 and has fantastic numbers in his first 57 minor league games, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him improve from being the team’s No. 29 prospect.

Top Pitchers

New York Mets’ Jonah Tong has not allowed an earned run across 23 2/3 innings at the Single-A and High-A levels this season. He’s made three starts and pitched in five games, striking out 43 and walking just eight.

Miami’s Emmett Olson has also not allowed an earned run across 21 2/3 innings at the same two levels of play. Olson has 22 strikeouts and six walks across four starts.

St. Louis’ Sem Robberse had a strong 1.77 earned run average across 35 2/3 innings and six starts. He’s 4-0 in those starts and has 35 strikeouts to just seven walks. He should get the call at some point this season, so he’s a name to keep an eye on.

Cleveland’s Austin Peterson has a 2.08 ERA across six starts at High-A. Peterson is 4-1, with 36 strikeouts and just three walks allowed. Peterson is not a top-30 prospect for his team, but that could change if he keeps things up.

Cleveland’s Tommy Mace has a 2.20 ERA across 32 2/3 innings at Double-A. In six games (five starts), Mace has 23 strikeouts and 11 walks. He also isn’t a top-30 prospect.

Baltimore’s Cade Povich has a 1.11 ERA across 32 1/3 innings and six starts at AAA. Povich has struck out 45 batters, while walking 14. Povich is another pitcher to keep a close eye on, as a call up could happen at any time.

Los Angeles Angels’ Caden Dana has a 1.78 ERA at Double-A in 30 1/3 innings pitched. He’s struck out 27 and walked nine. Dana is the team’s No. 2 prospect and pitching like it.

Pittsburgh’s Paul Skenes has a 0.99 ERA across 27 1/3 innings at Triple-A. He has 45 strikeouts and eight walks across his seven starts, and it’s just a matter of time before he gets called up. I’d expect him in the big leagues before June.

Cleveland’s Matt Wilkinson leads all minor leaguers with 46 strikeouts. He’s done that in 25 2/3 innings and five starts in Single-A. Wilkinson also isn’t a top-30 prospect in the Guardians’ system, so the team appears to have a good problem on its hands.

Philadelphia’s Samuel Aldegheri has a strong WHIP of 0.59 across 22 innings in High-A. He’s the team’s No. 24 prospect and has an ETA of 2026, but could be a quick riser if he keeps pitching this well.

Mets’ Christian Scott has a strong 0.71 WHIP before getting called up. In his first MLB start, Scott struck out six over 6 2/3 innings. He allowed five hits and one walk, and should get another turn in the rotation later this week. I wrote about it last week, but he’s not your typical streaming option - pick him up now before it’s too late.

Milwaukee’s Jacob Misiorowski has been strong at Double-A so far, with a .115 batting average against. He’s posted a 2.70 ERA in 23 1/3 innings and struck out 36 batters, but also walked 17. His ETA is 2025, but if he gets his walk numbers under control, a call up this season isn’t out of the picture, because Milwaukee has dealt with a multitude of injuries to its pitching staff.
