Dario Saric Fantasy Outlook
Saric has been a solid contributor in his first season with Golden State. He’s started four of the 22 games he’s appeared in and is averaging 21.6 minutes per contest.
The veteran big is also averaging 10.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks, while committing 2.4 fouls and 1.3 turnovers per game. Saric is shooting 45.5% overall and 38.3% from deep. He’s also 82.6% from the line.
Saric has played 20 or more minutes in 13 games, reaching double figures in points 13 times and rebounds on three occasions. He’s had a steal in 12 games, and has recorded a block in five contests.
He is playing the seventh-most minutes per game on the team so far. His 8.1 field goal attempts per game is fifth on the team, and he’s second on the team in rebounding and fifth in scoring.
Verdict: Saric is putting up pretty solid numbers for mostly coming off the bench. He’s currently owned in about 43% of leagues. Given he isn’t just a scorer, I’m a fan of adding Saric. I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to add him, but if you have an open roster spot or a player that you could move on from, Saric is a pretty solid fantasy option.
Andre Drummond Fantasy Outlook
Drummond is only averaging 13.2 minutes per game off the bench for the Bulls, but he’s doing enough in those minutes to be a decent fantasy player.
Drummond has played in 24 games, all off the bench. He’s averaging 6 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, 0.6 assists and 0.3 blocks, while committing 1.7 fouls and 1 turnover per game. He’s shooting 48.3% overall and is 58.5% from the free throw line.
While Drummond hasn’t topped 20 minutes in a game, he’s scored in double figures three times and pulled down 10 or more boards on five occasions. He’s got a steal in 17 games and a block in seven contests.
Playing time will probably remain pretty steady moving forward for Drummond, as Nikola Vucevic is ahead of him on the depth chart, and neither guy can really function as a power forward. If Vucevic is ever out, Drummond is a guy you need to target.
Verdict: Drummond has really solid numbers for the low amount of minutes he’s playing. He can definitely help fantasy teams out and has a pretty safe floor every night, but I’d take my chances with another player who averages more minutes instead. Drummond is only owned in 12% of leagues, and he should stay around there unless Vucevic is out, or Drummond or Vuc are moved to another team.
Seth Curry Fantasy Outlook
Curry has seen his role decrease significantly in his first season back with the Mavericks. He’s only averaging 12.2 minutes per game, but has started two of the 18 games he’s appeared in.
Curry is also averaging 4.7 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.6 steals and 0.1 blocks per game, while committing 0.8 fouls and 0.3 turnovers. He’s shooting just 40% overall and 38.1% from deep. Curry is 88.9% from the line.
A big reason why his own percentage has risen a bit of late is because he’s getting a good amount of playing time. He’s played at least 16 minutes in each of the past five games. The extra playing time is great, but it’s come with players like Luke Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr., Dante Exum and Kyrie Irving missing time.
Verdict: It looks like the Mavs are getting healthier by the day, which could mean the end of Curry’s extended minutes. I’d keep an eye on things the next couple games to see how much Curry is playing. If he’s back below 12 minutes, then there’s no point in picking him up. Keep tabs on the Mavs’ injuries as the season progresses and add Curry here and there to capitalize on his extended minutes.
