Let’s go over another NFL team fantasy football preview.

We’ve looked at the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, New York Jets, Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers and now will discuss the Baltimore Ravens.

Check back soon for more team previews. Of course, things will change between now and the start of the season, and FantasySP will cover any major changes when those happen.

Lamar Jackson Fantasy Outlook

Jackson is coming off an MVP season in 2023 and ready to lead the Ravens back into action.

Jackson played in 16 games a season ago, completing 307 of his 457 passes for 3,678 yards, 24 touchdowns and just seven interceptions.

Of course, Jackson’s rushing ability is what makes him a special fantasy player. He attempted 148 runs, gaining 821 yards and scoring five times.

The offense is pretty similar around him, with a new likely starting right tackle (Roger Rosengarten) and new starting running back (we’ll cover him shortly). As long as Jackson can stay healthy, he’ll not only be in the MVP hunt again, but one of the better fantasy options in the game.

Jackson is currently QB4, going around pick 38. He’s going after Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes. I wrote about how I viewed the top four QBs in an ADP story earlier in the week. I like Jackson as one of the top four quarterbacks, but prefer him at three or four instead of one or two.

Running Back Fantasy Outlooks

Derrick Henry is the new starting RB for Baltimore. Justice Hill, Keaton Mitchell and Rasheen Ali are all backup options in an offense that really enjoys running and using all its resources.

That might change now that Henry is around. Despite being 30 years old, Henry still has plenty in the tank. In 17 games last season with the Titans, Henry rushed for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns on 280 attempts. He caught 28 of his 36 targets for an additional 214 yards, but no scores.

Hill appeared in 16 games for Baltimore last season. He rushed for 387 yards and three scores on 84 attempts. Hill added 206 yards and a score on 28 catches and 39 targets as a pass catcher.

Mitchell was limited to eight games because of injuries. He should play this season, but his return date isn’t known yet. Mitchell had 396 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 47 attempts, along with 93 yards on nine grabs and 11 targets.

Ali is entering his rookie season after being a fifth-round pick of the team. He had a couple big seasons while at Marshall.

Henry is RB9 and going around pick 18 right now. That might seem early to some people, but I actually think he could be a steal. He should score a ton of touchdowns this season, and should easily be the team’s No. 1 back if he’s healthy all season. I’m actually OK taking him before a few of the backs currently going ahead of him and think he’s got a chance to be a top five back when all is said and done.

Mitchell is RB68, while Hill is RB74. Ali is RB80. All these guys are off the fantasy radar in standard leagues, which I think is the correct assessment. They have a touch more value in deeper leagues and dynasties, but Henry is likely going to dominate the touches while he’s in town.

Wide Receiver Fantasy Outlooks

Zay Flowers is back and ready to serve as Baltimore’s No. 1 receiver in 2024. Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor are lined up as the team’s other starters, while Tylan Wallace, Devontez Walker and Deonte Harty are the top backup options.

In 16 games in his rookie season, Flowers caught 77 of his 108 targets for 858 yards and five touchdowns. He added 56 yards and a touchdown on eight rushing attempts.

Bateman also played in 16 games last season, making 32 grabs on 56 targets for 367 yards and a touchdown.

Agholor played in 17 games, making 35 catches on 45 targets for 381 yards and four scores.

Tylan Wallace is entering his fourth season with the team. He has just 67 total yards on seven touches in his first three seasons.

Harty played in Buffalo last season. In 16 games, he made 15 grabs on 21 targets for 150 yards and a touchdown. He had 570 yards and three scores in 2021 with the Saints.

Walker had a couple nice collegiate seasons, one with Kent State and the other with North Carolina. With the lack of proven guys in the WR room, he could absolutely become a difference maker in his rookie season.

Flowers is the guy you want to own in Baltimore. He’s WR24 and going around pick 53 right now.

He should pretty easily be WR1 in Baltimore, so I have no problems taking him around his ADP. You aren’t going to be able to land a ton of WR1s much later than Flowers’ current ADP.

None of the other receivers appear in the top 200 picks in our ADP data. Bateman and Walker are the top guys going after Flowers.

I’d also avoid any Baltimore WRs outside Flowers in standard leagues. One might become a waiver wire option or streaming guy, but I’d need to see it before adding them to my roster. I’d keep closer tabs on Bateman and Walker.

The Baltimore receivers are all options in deeper leagues and dynasties in some cases. I too like Bateman after Flowers, followed by Walker. I’m probably only starting Flowers in week one regardless of what league I’m in though.

Tight End Fantasy Outlooks

The reason a lot of people aren’t freaking out over the lack of proven pass catchers in Baltimore is because Mark Andrews is on the team and healthy again. Isaiah Likely is a solid backup option at the position.

Andrews played in just 10 games last season. He made 45 grabs on 61 targets for 544 yards and six scores.

Likely appeared in 17 contests for Baltimore a year ago. He had 411 receiving yards and five scores on 30 catches and 40 targets. His production was a bit underwhelming with Andrews out for so many weeks.

Even after the injury last season, Andrews is back to TE4 and going around pick 46 this season. That seems like a pretty fair spot, although if he stays healthy a whole season, he could pretty easily jump past Trey McBride and be TE3 after Sam LaPorta/Travis Kelce

It’s always risky taking a tight end earlier in a fantasy draft, but when healthy, Andrews is always worth it. I’m all for taking him around his ADP.

Likely is surprisingly close to being taken at the end of standard drafts as TE19 and around pick 166. I’m not sure I understand his ADP. Likely only becomes a fantasy threat if Andrews is out, and Likely didn’t exactly shine with Andrews out last season.

Likely is a streaming option and shouldn’t be taken in standard league drafts this season. He’s not that great of a deep league option either, although I could understand drafting him to protect Andrews. Likely isn’t probably going to start most weeks this season, so I don’t get his ADP at all.
