It’s time for another NFL team fantasy football preview.

Check back soon for more team previews. Of course, things will change between now and the start of the season, and FantasySP will cover any major changes when those happen.

Here’s all the team previews we’ve already covered:

AFC: Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders

NFC: San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers

Let’s talk about the New York Giants next.

Daniel Jones Fantasy Outlook

Jones looks like he’ll start another season as the Giants’ top quarterback. Drew Lock and Tommy Devito are the backup options.

Jones only played in six games last season, with the Giants going 1-5 in those contests. He completed 108 of his 160 passes for 909 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions. Jones was coming off a 2023 season in which he threw for 3,205 yards, 15 touchdowns and five picks across 16 games.

Jones does add a rushing element to the offense. He attempted 40 runs last season, gaining 206 yards and scoring once. Jones had 708 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in 2023.

The Giants’ starting QB is not the most appealing fantasy asset and fantasy owners agree. He’s QB29 in fantasy drafts so far, going around pick 198.

That makes him a waiver wire option to start the season in standard leagues. There will likely be a couple weeks where his dual-threat ability will make him a streaming option, but he’s unlikely to be a every-week starter.

Of course, he will be a better fantasy option in deeper leagues and two-QB leagues. I wouldn’t want to count on Jones for fantasy production, and would prefer he serve as a backup option only.

Running Back Fantasy Outlooks

Saquon Barkley is gone, which means it’s a new era in the New York backfield. Devin Singletary was signed this offseason and should serve as the lead back. Rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Eric Gray are other options if the Giants decide to take a look at the future.

In 17 games with the Texans last season, Singletary had 898 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 216 attempts. He added 193 receiving yards, but no scores, on 30 receptions and 38 targets.

Tracy was a fifth-round pick of the team in the 2024 draft. He only had one real big collegiate season (his sixth one at Purdue). Tracy went down with an injury, which is believed to just be an ankle sprain. That will probably hold him back from potentially being the top RB option to start the season.

Gray had a good first showing in the team’s first preseason game, which was a good sign after a lackluster rookie season in 2023. In 13 games, Gray had 23 touches, 70 total yards, no touchdowns and three fumbles.

Singletary is the top Giants’ running back off draft boards this year. He’s RB32 and going around pick 96.

I’m not sold that Singletary will be the team’s preferred back all season, but to be able to land a team’s likely RB1 that late is never a bad pick. I’m all for grabbing Singletary near that ADP, especially with Tracy now dealing with the injury.

Tracy was RB54 and going around pick 171, while Gray is RB81 and going around pick 323.

The injury to Tracy likely means he won’t be taken in many standard league drafts anymore. He and Gray are decent deep league and dynasty league picks though. I like Tracy a touch more at this point, but that could change depending on the status of his injury.

Wide Receiver Fantasy Outlooks

Malik Nabers was the team’s first pick in the 2024 draft and was instantly the team’s top wideout. Jalin Hyatt and Wan'Dale Robinson are expected to start alongside Nabers. Isaiah Hodgins, Darius Slayton and Isaiah McKenzie are serving as the top backups right now.

Nabers had back-to-back great collegiate seasons for LSU before turning pro, compiling over 2,600 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns in two seasons.

Hyatt played in 17 games for the Giants as a rookie. He made 23 receptions on 40 targets for 373 yards and no touchdowns.

Robinson appeared in 15 games in his second NFL season in 2023. He had 60 grabs on 78 targets for 525 yards and one touchdown.

Slayton had 50 receptions, 770 yards and four touchdowns on 79 total targets last season. He played in 17 games.

Hodgins was also in 17 games for New York last season. He had 21 grabs on 33 targets for 230 yards and four scores.

McKenzie joins the Giants after spending last season with the Colts. In 13 games, McKenzie had 11 catches on 14 targets for 82 yards and no scores. He had 423 yards and four scores on 42 grabs and 65 targets with the Bills in 2022.

Nabers is the Giants’ receiver to roster this season. He’s WR23 and going around pick 45.

It’s always risky relying on a rookie to lead a team in receiving, but there’s not a ton of other proven wideouts there, so I have no issue taking a chance on Nabers in the fifth round. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some preseason hype slide him closer to round four, at which point I’d be more hesitant to grab Nabers.

No other New York receiver is going inside the top 200 picks, so they are off the radar in standard leagues for now. One or maybe two could become streaming options if the Giants’ offense surprises, but they are more than likely just going to be deep league options.

Hyatt, Robinson and Slayton are the best deep league options, but I’d want to avoid starting them until they prove they can put up decent fantasy numbers. Really, outside Nabers, all the other Giants’ receivers need to be treated as streaming options. They’ll have their weeks of solid play, but I doubt any will put up those numbers consistently, making them all frustrating fantasy assets.

Tight End Fantasy Outlooks

Daniel Bellinger is projected as the team’s starting tight end right now, while rookie Theo Johnson looks like the team’s future starter.

Bellinger appeared in 17 games in his second NFL season in 2023. He had 25 grabs on 28 targets for 255 yards and no touchdowns. He had a similar rookie season, but with five more catches, 13 more yards and two scores.

Johnson wasn’t a huge pass-catching threat in his four collegiate seasons with Penn State, but he did score 11 touchdowns over his final two seasons. On an offense devoid of proven playmakers, a rookie like Johnson has as good a chance as anyone to carve out a role.

Johnson is actually the top New York tight end drafted, but is off the fantasy radar in standard leagues as TE32 and going around pick 244.

Johnson, or Bellinger, could become streaming options in standard leagues, but that frankly doesn’t seem super likely. They are better fantasy assets in deeper leagues, and could be worth starting depending on how deep your league is and how they are performing on the field.

I too like Johnson over Bellinger, and would hope that Johnson could snag a few touchdowns to be a respectable fantasy option across a few weeks.
