It’s time to knock off another division in our fantasy football series where we look at the top dynasty options from each NFL team.

Here’s a look back at the divisions/teams we’ve already covered: AFC - East, West, North; NFC - North, West. We’ll tackle the NFC East next.

Get ready for draft season! Practice Mock Drafts, check out ADPs and get advice for trades with our trade analyzer. Also be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy Football Draft Kit.

Dallas Cowboys

We’ll open things by discussing the Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott.

Pescott is a top-15 dynasty option among quarterbacks for most, even though he’s 31 years old. He still should have a few good seasons in him, but he’s really only a player who contending dynasty teams should be rostering. Those who are rebuilding should sell Prescott while he’s still got a little value.

Dallas doesn’t have any good dynasty backs. Ezekiel Elliott and Rico Dowdle can be utilized as depth options on contending teams, but at 29 and 26 years old, respectively, they might not be fantasy relevant for more than a season or two.

CeeDee Lamb is a great dynasty option, and just was locked into a new extension in Dallas. He’s in the top four dynasty options (with Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase and Amon-Ra St. Brown) at WR and had the best season of that group in 2023. Lamb should be at the heart of the Dallas offense for the next several years, but it’ll cost you a very early pick or be an expensive trade if you want to get him.

Outside Lamb, Dallas doesn’t have any great dynasty wideout options. Brandin Cooks is a depth option for contending teams this season because he’s also 30 years old. Jalen Tolbert (25) and Ryan Flournoy (24) are young enough where they hold a little value, but neither have consistently delivered at the NFL level or played yet.

Jake Ferguson is a good dynasty option at tight end as he’s just 25 years old. I often see him just outside the top-10 dynasty TEs on ranking lists, but think he’s pretty safely inside the top 10 right now. He could be the No. 2 pass catcher behind Lamb for several seasons.

Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts is a big-time dynasty quarterback and leads the Eagles.

He’s most often ranked just after Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, and Hurts is two years younger than both, so he’s a good compromise if you miss out on the top two. Hurts will need to improve as a passer, as his rushing ability likely won’t be there his entire career (and that’s why I think Allen and Mahomes are safely ahead of him despite being older).

Saquon Barkley is still a good dynasty option at the RB position. He’s a top-10 guy despite being 27 years old and dealing with a multitude of injuries over his career. Playing in Philly should help Barkley as a fantasy player, but with a running threat at QB and two good/great receivers, he won’t be likely as relied upon. He’d be best utilized by a contending team, otherwise I’d sell him while his value is still high.

Will Shipley is another Philly back to keep tabs on. If Barkley’s injury woes continue, Shipley could take on a big role as a rookie and fly up rankings going into 2025.

A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are two receivers I mentioned before, and are both good dynasty options.

Brown is the team’s No. 1 option and is a top-10 dynasty WR option for most. He’s still just 27, so there’s several more great seasons ahead of him.

Smith is only 25, and he’s a top-15 dynasty WR for a lot of sites/people. He might be the best No. 2 option in dynasty formats, battling Jaylen Waddle for that spot.

Jahan Dotson was just traded to Philly and is only 24, so he’s got some dynasty value still. Being traded at such a young age, especially inside the division, tells you what his previous team thought of him, meaning he isn’t likely to be a weekly contributor (and especially not for the long haul).

Johnny Wilson and Ainias Smith are two rookies who could skyrocket up dynasty lists with solid rookie seasons. Wilson has the first crack at things with Smith starting the season on IR.

Dallas Goedert still has some dynasty value, but at 29 years old, he’s best utilized as a backup option on a contending team. Expect Philly to draft a TE in the next draft if Goedert continues to trend downward.

Washington Commanders

I like what the Commanders are building, starting with quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The rookie is a top-10 dynasty option for most people, mostly because he is a dual-threat option and just 23 years old. Washington needs to surround him with more talent, so don’t get discouraged and bail on him if he struggles at all during his first season.

Washington doesn’t have a workhorse back for 2024, with Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler expected to split the backfield. Robinson is the better dynasty asset at 25 years old, but the fact the team signed Ekeler says a lot about what the Commanders think of Robinson. Ekeler is 29 years old, so I’m selling him if I’m not a contender since he’s got a little trade value still. I expect Washington to address the position next offseason.

After trading Dotson, Terry McLaurin is the only proven receiver for Daniels to throw to as a rookie. McLaurin is already 28 years old though, so he ranks between 30-40 on most dynasty lists. I think he’s going to have a monster season, so if you aren’t contending and want to sell McLaurin, I’d wait until we get a few weeks into the season and McLaurin has delivered some good results.

Rookie Luke McCaffrey is the name I really like in Washington for dynasty wideouts. He’s 23 years old and gets to grow up with Daniels. After Dotson was traded, McCaffrey should get more playing time as a rookie, which will benefit him greatly for the long haul. Stash him until he’s consistently putting up solid fantasy totals, which may take a lot less time than you think.

Dyami Brown is just 24 years old, so he’s a name to track, but I expect him to be replaced in the coming years by more young wideouts.

Ben Sinnott might be third on the team’s TE depth chart, but he’s easily the team’s best dynasty option at just 22 years old. Zach Ertz can be streamed by contending teams, but if Washington struggles, expect Sinnott to get more and more playing time as the year progresses. If he takes advantage of his opportunities, he could be a top-10 dynasty TE going into 2025.

New York Giants

New York has some solid dynasty options, but it really all comes down to who the quarterback will be.

Daniel Jones is among the worst dynasty QBs among the starters in the league because he’s simply struggled too much. He’s an option in deep dynasty leagues and two-QB formats, but might only get a few starts this season before being sent into a bench role for the remainder of his NFL career.

Devin Singletary is a starting option for contending teams this season, but at 27 years old, has only a couple years of production left in him. I expect New York to draft some RBs in the coming years to take over as the starter.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Eric Gray are both 24, but not very high on dynasty ranking lists for most. Tracy is the one to stash as the backup to Singletary after being a fifth-round pick this offseason.

Malik Nabers is the top dynasty wideout for the Giants. He’s a top-10 option for most despite not playing a snap yet, and having a bleak outlook for his team’s QB. If the Giants can figure out their QB situation and Nabers dominates the targets, he could be a top-10 fantasy option at WR for a decade-plus.

Wan'Dale Robinson (23) and Jalin Hyatt (22) are some younger receivers who could also shoot up rankings if they excel this coming season. They are more stash-and-hope targets right now, because Jones is the one throwing them the ball.

Theo Johnson is a dynasty tight end to keep in mind. The fourth-round pick is probably second on the team’s depth chart right now, but should get a lot of playing time this season. In an offense devoid of proven talent, Johnson could absolutely become a big-time fantasy option. He’s often ranked around 30th right now, but could soar into the top 15 with a good season.
