NFL Week 2 Power Rankings: Steelers and Bills Move into Top 10

The newest power rankings are out. Who is climbing up the ranks and who is falling?

Power Rankings: Week 2

32. Carolina Panthers
Last Week 32

After getting completely destroyed by the Saints in Week 1, the Panthers earn their last in the league ranking. That was a really disappointing Week 1 for a team that hoped to at least show some progress in the right direction.

31. New York Giants
Last Week 31

The Giants did everything they could to drop into that last spot. As horrible as they were, they weren't quite bad enough to drop behind the Panthers. They'll get another shot this week against the Commanders.

30. Denver Broncos
Last Week 30

The Broncos lost and didn't look good doing it. The offense is just as anemic under Bo Nix as it was under Russell Wilson. Having an inconsistent but decent defense is their only saving grace. The hope is Nix develops as the year goes on.

29. Tennessee Titans
Last Week 29

The Titans looked great early on, then Will Levis completely imploded. The start could have been enough to jump them up a few spots if the implosion of their young quarterback wasn't so alarming.

28. Las Vegas Raiders
Last Week 27

The Raiders stink and they got beaten up on by the Chargers. We knew the offense would be terrible but had some hope the defense would be improved.

27. Washington Commanders
Last Week 26

Their pass defense looks like it might end up being the worst in the league this season. The Bucs did whatever they wanted through the air. Jayden Daniels did flash some of his talents on the ground though.

26. Minnesota Vikings
Last Week 28

The Vikings climbed a few spots because they dismantled the Giants. They didn't climb more because it was only the Giants. Let's see how this team plays against a real opponent. We still don't trust Sam Darnold

25. Arizona Cardinals
Last Week 21

This was a tough one because the Cards played really well against the Bills for a while. Then they got conservative and blew it. Almost doesn't count so they had to drop in the rankings. Actually throwing to Marvin Harrison Jr. might have changed this outcome. Better luck next week.

24. Jacksonville Jaguars
Last Week 19

The Jags had Miami on the ropes until they fell apart in the second half. Trevor Lawrence looked lost, the defense collapsed and Travis Etienne had a game-blowing fumble. The contract they gave to Lawrence could end up being their downfall if he doesn't start to step up.

23. New Orleans Saints
Last Week 24

The Saints climb one spot after slaughtering the Panthers, but we need to see them against a top-30 team before we even consider buying into this team.

22. Seattle Seahawks
Last Week 23

Seattle beat the Broncos in a solid win. There wasn't much inspiring about them but the win bumps them up a spot.

21. New England Patriots
Last Week 25

The Pats are a team I already ranked higher than most to start the season and now they jump even higher. They are going to be a tough matchup most weeks because they are going to play defense and run the ball. They'll be more competitive and win more games than people are anticipating.

20. Los Angeles Chargers
Last Week 22

The Chargers beat the Raiders, which isn't a major feat, but it does jump them up a few spots. J.K. Dobbins was the bright spot of this game for LA.

19. New York Jets
Last Week 16

The Jets got manhandled on defense by the Niners and the offense looked below average as we expected it to be. The offense was never going to live up to expectations because people aren't ready to accept that Aaron Rodgers is a shell of his former self yet. However, it could be a long year if the defense takes a significant step back as well. San Fran ran at will on them.

18. Indianapolis Colts
Last Week 17

The Colts lost a tight 29-27 contest against the Texans in a game that not many people gave them much of a chance in. The loss does bump them down but only a spot.

17. Atlanta Falcons
Last Week 13

We want to chalk Week 1 up the Steelers' defense being great when it comes to the Falcons' offense, but it looked ugly. We are hoping that Kirk Cousins is just rounding into form and had a bad matchup or it may be a long year for fantasy owners who invested in anyone but Bijan Robinson in this offense. The Eagles will be a big test this week.

16. Cleveland Browns
Last Week 11

Last week was it for us. We have given up on Deshaun Watson and that leaves the Browns with any real hope to win anything of significance. It will be interesting to see if they'd actually bench him for Jameis Winston after all they invested in him.

15. Chicago Bears
Last Week 18

The Bears pulled out an improbable comeback no thanks to their offense. The defense looked great but Caleb Williams did not. If he continues to develop, they will continue to climb up these rankings though. He's just not there yet.

14. Green Bay Packers
Last Week 10

The Packers lost which is okay. That's not why they dropped four spots. The fact that they will probably be starting Malik Willis for the next few weeks is brutal though. He immediately becomes the worst starting QB in the league and it's hard to see them winning a game with him under center. They may start off 0-4.

13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Last Week 20

Baker Mayfield and the passing attack looked great. After what they accomplished last season, maybe it's time to stop looking past the Bucs. The Falcons may not walk through that division as many have predicted.

12. Cincinnati Bengals
Last Week 9

The Bengals are awful early in the season. We don't know why but they start off slow every year. Joe Burrow is a historically slow starter and not having Tee Higgins didn't help. Neither did a less-than-full-go Ja'Marr Chase. Despite the nice things we said about New England earlier, this was still a game the Bengals should win and another slow start could prove costly in January.

11. Los Angeles Rams
Last Week 12

Despite losing and suffering from a rash of injuries, the Rams only dropped one spot after losing a hard-fought game against the Lions. If they can overcome some early-season injuries they could end up being a dark horse in the NFC.

10. Pittsburgh Steelers
Last Week 15

The Steelers' defense looked as great as it usually does and Justin Fields gives them more upside. They'll be a tough team that contends for a playoff spot just like they do every year.

9. Buffalo Bills
Last Week 14

The Bills defense looked suspect, but the offense quieted most doubts in a come-from-behind- Week 1 victory. They have a tough test against the Dolphins on a short week this Thursday.

8. Dallas Cowboys
Last Week 8

Dallas stays put after beating the Browns, who look hopeless on offense.

7. Philadelphia Eagles
Last Week 7

The Eagles big win against the Packers secured their spot for another week.

6. Miami Dolphins
Last Week 6

Miami had a scare but the defense looked better than expected and Tua Tagovailoa in the offense stepped up in a major way late for a clutch comeback performance. They showed a toughness we've been wanting to see for a long time now.

5. Houston Texans
Last Week 5

The Texans won and scored a lot of points. The defense also gave up a lot of points against an average Colts' offense. This offense is going to be near the top of the league but it remains to be seen how far the defense can take them.

4. Baltimore Ravens
Last Week 3

A loss to the Chiefs drops the Ravens one spot. We weren't even sure if that was fair but wins and losses matter.

3. Detroit Lions
Last Week 4

The Lions had a hard-fought win against a tough Rams team and it bumped them up to No. 3.

2. San Francisco 49ers
Last Week 2

The Niners did whatever they wanted against the Jets on both sides of the ball without Christian McCaffrey and a few key defenders. Everyone better hope the Jets are overrated or this is a team to be terrified of.

1. Kansas City Chiefs
Last Week 1

The defending champs knocked off one of the best teams in the league on opening night and they aren't being knocked off the mountain until someone knocks them off.
