NFL Week 5 Power Rankings: Eagles Fall 8 Spots After Loss
We have the latest NFL Power Rankings for you heading into Week 5.
Power Rankings
32. Jacksonville Jaguars
Last Week: 31
One winless team remains and it's the lowly Jags. They are the worst team in the NFL.
31. Miami Dolphins
Last Week: 25
The Dolphins' offense simply can't do anything without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. They are hard to rank knowing Tua is expected to return in a few weeks, but how do you put them any higher right now?
30. Tennessee Titans
Last Week: 32
The Titans only jumped up at all because they beat the Tua-less Dolphins with Mason Rudolph under center after a Will Levis injury. That's not exactly a massive accomplishment.
29. New York Giants
Last Week: 26
The Giants looked awful against the Cowboys and they may have lost Malik Nabers and Devin Singletary for Week 5 off their already anemic offense.
28. New England Patriots
Last Week: 27
The Pats looked like a decent team in the first few weeks. That has not been the case in the past few weeks. It may be time to make the move to Drake Maye.
27. Carolina Panthers
Last Week: 28
The Panthers lost to the previously win-less Bengals last week, but still looked like a functioning NFL team.
26. Cleveland Browns
Last Week: 23
We would like to drop the Browns further, but it turns out there are a lot of bad teams in the league. Make no mistake, the Browns stink.
25. Las Vegas Raiders
Last Week: 29
Despite the team imploding from the inside out off the field, the Raiders did manage to pull off a win against the Browns on the field last week.
24. Denver Broncos
Last Week: 30
This feels like too big of a jump for beating the Jets, but that's how the chips fell this week.
23. Los Angeles Chargers
Last Week: 19
The bye week came a good time for LA because it looked like they were going to keep forcing a hopeless Justin Herbert onto the field with a high-ankle sprain regardless of how he looked out there.
22. Los Angeles Rams
Last Week: 18
The Rams have been decimated by injuries this season, however, they are slowly starting to get some players back. It's not clear how much better they are when healthy.
21. Arizona Cardinals
Last Week: 16
The Cardinals got their doors blown off by the Commanders in Week 4. We aren't quite sure which team that reflects on more at this point.
20. New York Jets
Last Week: 15
The Jets failed to score a TD in Week 4 and let Bo Nix beat them at home. An ugly loss by an ugly franchise that had a shot to gain ground on the Bills.
19. New Orleans Saints
Last Week: 12
After lighting it up the first two weeks, the Saints have plummeted back down to earth the past two weeks.
18. Cincinnati Bengals
Last Week: 24
On paper the Bengals are too high considering that they've lost every game that they have played against non-Panthers opponents, but coming off a win and knowing their tendencies, it's hard to have them any lower.
17. Chicago Bears
Last Week: 22
The Bears are who they are. A young team with a lot of talent who shows flashes, but just isn't quite ready yet.
16. Dallas Cowboys
Last Week: 20
Dallas managed to beat the Giants, but it wasn't pretty. They are barely deserving of their four-spot jump.
15. Indianapolis Colts
Last Week: 21
The Colts are a better team with Joe Flacco at quarterback. We know that and the team knows that. The coach is going to have to walk the tightrope when it comes to putting Richardson back in knowing he doesn't give the team their best chance to win.
14. Philadelphia Eagles
Last Week: 6
The Eagles were demolished in Week 4 and the problems seemed to carry over to the locker room all week. A culture change may be needed in Philly.
13. Seattle Seahawks
Last Week: 10
We were convinced the Seahawks were frauds or at least needed to show us something against a decent team. They went to Detroit and lost by 13. That's right about where we thought they'd be.
12. Atlanta Falcons
Last Week: 16
The Falcons are still a work in process, but all the pieces are there to win the division if they can put them together.
11. Washington Commanders
Last Week: 14
Jayden Daniels is the real deal. Is that enough for the Commanders to win the East? It might be.
10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Last Week: 13
The Bucs bounced back this week by dismantling the Eagles. This is one of the more unpredictable good teams in the league.
9. San Francisco 49ers
Last Week: 11
The 49ers have been beaten up this year. Still, we all know that this is a very good team when healthy and we'd be shocked if we don't see them in the top five at some point soon.
8. Green Bay Packers
Last Week: 7
The Packers are now 0-2 when Jordan Love starts and 2-0 when Malik Willis starts. Is there a QB controversy brewing? Still, no. We would like to see the Packers get a win this week though.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers
Last Week: 5
The Steelers are undefeated no longer, but we are only dropping them a few spots. They are who they are. Every week they're going to play hard and win most of their games, even if they aren't real threats in the AFC.
6. Buffalo Bills
Last Week: 2
The Bills were tested by a good team for the first time this season and the Ravens beat the brakes off of them. Their matchup against the Texans this week could drastically change how we view them.
5. Houston Texans
Last Week: 8
It's been a bit of a rocky start for the Texans, nevertheless, they are sitting at 3-1 and crack the top five.
4. Baltimore Ravens
Last Week: 9
The Ravens demolished the Bills this week. This almost feels too low of a ranking after watching them in Week 4.
3. Detroit Lions
Last Week: 6
The Lions knocked off the undefeated Seahawks on Monday Night Football and climbed back up into the top three.
2. Minnesota Vikings
Last Week: 3
Quite frankly, the Vikings have been the best team in football this season, but the Chiefs have to be knocked off the throne before we make fools of ourselves by dropping them from the top spot.
1. Kansas City Chiefs
Last Week: 1
The undefeated back-to-back world champions continue to reign at No. 1. However, we are starting to see some cracks in the armor after a few close calls and the crucial loss of Rashee Rice.
