Dynasty Players Rebuilding Owners Should Consider Moving - NFC East Edition | Austin Ekeler, Dallas Goedert, Dak Prescott, Devin Singletary and More
Identifying some dynasty players who should maybe be moved by rebuilding teams.
It’s time to continue a fantasy football series where I identify players that rebuilding dynasty owners should consider moving.
We covered the North divisions (NFC and AFC) already and now will talk about the NFC East.

Washington Commanders
Washington has a bunch of players on its roster that rebuilding dynasty fantasy owners should be looking to move.
Zach Ertz is at the top of the list. He’s enjoying a pretty solid season, but is 34 years old and nearing the end of his NFL career.
A contending team would be interested in Ertz for sure. You won’t get a huge return, but any future assets that you can acquire for a player who won’t be able to help you when it’s time to start competing is a win.
All three of the team’s backs could also be moved for the right price. Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols are both 29 years old, while Brian Robinson Jr. is 25.
Ekeler has done some solid things this season, and has a little more appeal in PPR leagues. Trading him for a future asset makes more sense than hoping he’s still playing and producing in a year or two.
McNichols won’t net you a big return, but in a deep enough dynasty, he’s got a little value for this season at least. I’d rather take on a young player without a role at the moment or a late rookie pick in an upcoming draft than hope McNichols turns into a fantasy asset for years to come.
Robinson will get you the most bang for your buck, mostly because of his age. He’s got a few years left in the tank, but if your rebuild is going to take a few years, why not cash in on Robinson now?
He’s not a massive fantasy option at this point, but his age and solid role now should be enough to land you a pretty nice return and maybe speed up your rebuild a little bit.
Terry McLaurin is the last player I’d want to move if I was rebuilding. He’s one of the better fantasy wideouts in the game this season, and should net you a great return.
I’d only make this move if your rebuild was still two or more years away. I don’t see McLaurin being this good of a fantasy asset at that point. Cash in now and reap the rewards in the future.
Philadelphia Eagles
There’s not too many options on the Eagles’ roster.
Dallas Goedert is the only one that stands out to me. He’s 29 years old, and is enjoying a pretty solid season.
He likely won’t get you a big return, but again, something is better than nothing. I always try to go after a younger tight end when I deal a veteran TE away, but getting some future picks also makes sense.
A.J. Brown and Saquon Barkley are a couple 27-year-olds who could be moved, but I think they each have several more elite seasons in them. I’d be more open to moving Barkley, as running backs don’t usually last as long as wide receivers.
The only reason I bring them up is because they could net you a big return, and it could turn your multi-year rebuild into a much shorter one.
Dallas Cowboys
There aren’t many obvious choices on the Cowboys’ roster either.
The biggest one is Dak Prescott. He’s 31 years old and usually a pretty good fantasy performer, but he’s struggled this season.
Maybe there are some fantasy owners who still believe in Prescott and would pay a decent amount for the veteran quarterback. I do not believe in Prescott long term, and would be more inclined to move him then hope to build around him going forward.
Rico Dowdle and Ezekiel Elliott are two backs I’d try to move.
Elliott won’t get you a big return as a 29-year-old who is currently the backup, but any future asset you can nab for him would be a win.
Dowdle has a little more value as a 26-year-old and the team’s current starter. It won’t net you a huge return, but there’s contending teams out there desperate for RB help, and Dowdle fills that void.
Ideally, I’d wait for Dowdle to erupt in a game before selling him to the highest bidder, but if you don’t want to wait, I’d think he’d get a decent return right now.
New York Giants
There’s three 27-year-olds on the Giants’ roster who I’d want to trade if I was rebuilding. None of them have a ton of value.
In deeper leagues and multi-QB setups, Daniel Jones has a little value. He’s been OK this season, but is more a streaming option than weekly starter, even in deeper leagues.
I think Jones’ time as a starter is running low, so I’d try to get something out of him now. That could really be said regardless of what state your dynasty team was in.
Devin Singletary has a little value as well, especially to the dynasty owner who also rosters Tyrone Tracy. I was hoping Singletary was going to build up a ton of value by this point, but his injury let Tracy into the backfield lineup and has diminished Singletary’s value.
You still should be able to get a little something for the veteran back, and I’d rather take a chance on a future asset than a 27-year-old RB.
Darius Slayton is the final Giant I’m discussing. He’s built up a little value over the past few weeks, but again, is more an option for those in deeper dynasty leagues.
He could net you a late future pick, or maybe a young pass catcher who is currently buried on the depth chart. Give me the future pick over a veteran who has plenty of fantasy question marks every time.
