Week 10 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Daniel Jones, Jordan Mason, Ray-Ray McCloud and More
Here are some sleeper options for you to target in Week 10.
Quarterbacks
Daniel Jones, New York Giants
We start this off with Danny Dimes. He takes on the Carolina Panthers this week and they have been incapable of slowing down just about anybody this season. They are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing QBs on the year.
It's always stressful starting Jones because he is more than capable of falling on his face, but he'll do just fine in this matchup. His ability to make plays with his legs will also help raise his floor in a game in which he has a rare passing upside as well.
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
Herbert has an average matchup this week, but that's not what we're focusing on here. What draws our attention to him is that his passing volume has been increasing. He's now attempted more than 30 passes and completed more than 20 passes in three of the last four games. Neither of those things happened even once in the previous four weeks.
Because of the increased volume, his yardage totals have made huge leaps. As bad as they may be, the Chargers pass catchers are getting healthy and the players are getting used to their new offensive system. We hope to see all these trends continuing this week and moving forward.
Running Backs
Jaylen Wright, Miami Dolphins
Full disclosure, this is mostly a hunch based on what I've seen out of the Dolphins' offense. Raheem Mostert has had crucial potential game-losing fumbles in two of their last three games, while the rookie has looked electric with the ball in his hand.
It's common knowledge that this offense can sustain two fantasy backs. This week, Wright might just steal Mostert's spot and become that second valuable fantasy asset in the Miami backfield. If that does happen, the trend could last for the remainder of the season as well and potentially even the long-term future in Miami.
Devin Singletary, New York Giants
No team is worse against fantasy running backs than the Panthers. We have seen multiple teams have multiple running backs have strong fantasy weeks against them already this season.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. is an elite option, but Singletary might be able to make himself relevant again in this one too. If the Giants can build a lead and play from ahead, there is a strong chance both backs are worth plugging into your lineup this week.
Jordan Mason, San Francisco 49ers
Christian McCaffrey is back and everyone is banishing Mason out of the fantasy realm. That may be a big mistake this week.
There is no way they just throw CMC in and give him a massive workload. He'll get there, but not yet. A reportedly fully healthy Mason is going to be the lead back for the Niners on Sunday against a Bucs' defense that is giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to the position.
Wide Receivers
Ray-Ray McCloud, Atlanta Falcons
Drake London was forced from last week's game and was not able to return due to a hip injury. This week he is listed as questionable. If he is unable to go, McCloud is a decent sleeper option.
We've already seen him produce when given an increased role this season. With London inactive, he should have a great day against the spiraling Saints. However, if London is good to go we'd look elsewhere. Darnell Mooney is also in this conversation if you consider him a sleeper, but we view him as better than just a sleeper option.
Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers
Reports are coming out that the Niners are loving what they've been seeing from the rookie. With Brandon Aiyuk done for the year and question marks surrounding the health and availability of Deebo Samuel Sr. and CMC, Pearsall could slide right into a WR1 role in one of the best offensive systems in the league.
Even if he's the WR2, he has a ton of value and upside against a Bucs' team that can't stop any wideouts this year, allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to them.
Cedrick Wilson Jr., New Orleans Saints
This is simply a case of someone having to catch a few passes and maybe it will be this guy. Rashid Shaheed and Chris Olave are out injured and the most likely receiver to step into the WR1 role is Wilson.
How much value does that role ever have? No idea, but enough that we wanted to mention his name so you're at least aware of this situation. Mason Tipton is also a candidate for more targets as well.
