Week 12 Monday Night Start Decisions and Rankings: Should Chargers' Quentin Johnston and Will Dissly be in Your Lineups? What About Ravens' Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews?
Breaking down the Monday night matchup between the Ravens and Chargers and ranking fantasy players from the contest.
Week 12 of the NFL regular season wraps up with a fantastic matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers.
Let’s break down the top fantasy options from the game. I’ll also provide rankings for every offensive player in the contest before we wrap up.

Quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson and Justin Herbert lead their teams into battle.
Jackson has completed 67% of his passes for 2,876 yards, 25 touchdowns and three interceptions this season. He also has 584 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Jackson is coming off his worst fantasy performance of the season, and he still scored 15 points.
Herbert has 2,186 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and one interception on 63.5% passing this season. He’s also got 182 rushing yards and a score. Herbert has scored at least 19 fantasy points in four straight games.
The matchup favors Herbert, as Baltimore allows 21 fantasy points a week. Los Angeles surrenders 16 points a week, which is an average mark. Jackson is projected for 20 fantasy points, while Herbert is at 18.
I think this is a closer matchup than you think, but I’d also take Jackson slightly ahead of Herbert. Jackson’s ability to impact the game as a runner is the difference, but I also wouldn’t be shocked if Herbert delivers a better fantasy score by a couple points.
Running Backs
J.K. Dobbins is the top Los Angeles running back, while Gus Edwards backs him up. Derrick Henry powers the Ravens’ backfield, with Justice Hill serving as the top backup.
Dobbins has 726 rushing yards and eight scores on 152 attempts this season. He’s added 115 receiving yards on 25 catches and 29 targets. Dobbins has 30 touches over the past two games and has only failed to reach 10 fantasy points three times this season.
Edwards has 195 rushing yards on 54 carries and two receiving yards on his only target across six games. He has 16 carries in his first two games back from injury.
Hassan Haskins has two touches in each of the past two games. He has 23 total yards and a score on 12 touches this season.
Henry has 1,185 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns across 197 attempts this season. He also has 96 yards and two scores on 10 grabs and 12 targets. Henry only has 25 fantasy points across the past two weeks, and two scores have propped that number up.
Hill has 130 rushing yards on 36 attempts and 300 receiving yards and two scores on 31 receptions and 37 targets this season. Hill has 10 touches over the past two weeks, and it’s led to 10 fantasy points.
It’s a below-average matchup for all the backs in this game. Baltimore allows only 21 fantasy points a week, while LA surrenders just 17. Henry is projected for 17 PPR fantasy points, Dobbins 14, Edwards five and Hill six.
I also like Henry the most in this game, but also wouldn’t be surprised if Dobbins leads the way depending on who scores. I like Hill the most of the backups, but would only consider him in a deeper PPR league. I’d try to stay away from Edwards, and would not play Haskins in any circumstance.
Wide Receivers
Ladd McConkey is the top LA wideout. Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer are the other top options, while Jalen Reagor and Derius Davis only played a bit in week 11.
Zay Flowers leads the Baltimore wideout room. Rashod Bateman, Nelson Agholor, Diontae Johnson and Tylan Wallace also played in week 11.
McConkey has 615 yards and four scores on 43 receptions and 63 targets this season. He’s scored in double figures as a fantasy performer in four of the past five games, but is questionable for the game because of a shoulder injury.
Johnston has 354 yards and six scores on 22 catches and 37 targets this season. He has scored in double figures in three straight, with a touchdown in each game.
Palmer has 365 yards and a touchdown on 20 catches and 32 targets. He’s only reached double figures in two games this season.
Reagor has 76 yards on four grabs and seven targets this season. He has one target in each of the past two games.
Davis has 39 yards on three catches and five targets this season. He’s gotten three targets over the past two games combined.
Flowers 727 yards and four touchdowns across 52 receptions and 79 targets. He’s hit double figures as a fantasy performer in three of the past four and five of the past seven.
Bateman has 531 yards and four touchdowns across 33 catches and 52 targets. He has only hit double figures in one of the past three games.
Agholor has 205 yards and two scores on 13 grabs and 26 targets this season. He didn’t have a catch last week, and two scores over the past four weeks are the only thing propping up weak fantasy showings otherwise.
Johnson has just six yards on a catch and four targets in his time with the Ravens. He has all four of those targets across the past two weeks.
Wallace has 154 yards and a score on six catches and targets this season. He had 115 yards and a score in one game.
It’s a great matchup for the Chargers’ wideouts, as the Ravens surrender 43 fantasy points a week to that position. The Chargers’ defense gives up 32 points, which is a pretty average mark.
Flowers is projected for 14 PPR points, while McConkey is at 13. Johnston sits at 11 points, Bateman nine, Palmer eight and Johnson three. Nobody else cracks the top 61 this week.
If McConkey plays and isn’t limited in any way, I like him the best in this contest. I could also see Flowers leading the way, and would definitely be starting him too. Johnston is one I’d be in favor of starting in the favorable matchup, and is the last one I’d really want to start.
Bateman is next on my list, but I’d prefer him only starting in a deeper league. Palmer is a bit behind Bateman, but still a deep-league option.
All the other receivers I would try to stay away from. I’d rank them as follows: Agholor, Johnson, Wallace, Reagor, Davis.
I’d be more confident in Johnston and Palmer as fantasy options, but wouldn’t adjust my rankings if McConkey is out.
Tight Ends
Will Dissly is the top tight end for the Chargers. Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely are options for the Ravens.
Dissly has 12 targets over the past two games and is up to 352 yards and a score on 37 grabs and 48 targets overall. Hayden Hurst is out again this week, so Tucker Fisk (six yards on a catch and two targets) will be the backup TE.
Andrews has 379 yards and five touchdowns across 32 catches and 39 targets this season. He had only three targets last week, but seven the previous week.
Likely has 346 yards and three scores on 28 grabs and 39 targets this season. He had five targets last week.
It’s a more favorable matchup for Dissly, as Baltimore allows 14 fantasy points a week. LA gives up just 10 points a week. Dissly is projected for 11 PPR points, while Andrews is at nine and Likely seven.
I also like Dissly the most in this contest, but Andrews or Likely could outscore him with a score or big play. I like Andrews over Likely, and would only want to start Andrews in a standard league.
Kickers
Justin Tucker kicks for the Ravens. He’s just 16-of-22 on his field goals and has made 38-of-39 extra points.
Cameron Dicker does the kicking for the Chargers. He’s 21-of-23 on his field goals and 19-of-22 on extra points.
Tucker is projected for eight fantasy points, while Dicker is at six. I’d be fine starting either guy tonight, as both should get plenty of scoring chances.
Defenses/Special Teams
The Chargers’ defense allows 317.1 yards and just 14.5 points per contest this season. LA has 13 takeaways and only five giveaways.
The Ravens’ defense gives up 362 yards and 24.6 points a week. Baltimore has 11 takeaways and just nine giveaways.
Both D/STs are projected for six fantasy points. I like the Chargers’ D/ST more, but really wouldn’t feel good about starting either tonight. I think it’s going to be a high-scoring game, so neither D/ST will put up many points.
