We don’t have a lot of great matchups today. Despite having close to half the league in action, only three teams really fit our criteria of allowing a lot of shots and goals per game. There’s also a fourth middling option; we take what we can get some days.

Let’s look at four teams with good matchups on Tuesday and the players on those teams who are most involved in the action. I try not to list injured players, but always check actives/inactives before game time to ensure everyone in your lineup is playing. All stats are from NHL.com.

Boston Bruins @ St. Louis Blues

We’ll start with a game in which we can target both teams. Boston has allowed the 12th-most shots and 11th-most goals per game. I look for teams that rank in the top 10 in both, but we can call that close enough, right?

The Blues rank ninth and sixth, respectively, offering a little better matchup than the Bruins.

Seattle Kraken vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

The Blue Jackets have given up just the 17th-most shots but the fifth-most goals per game. I say it a lot: goals are better than shots, so we’ll go after Columbus today.

Winnipeg Jets @ New York Rangers

The Rangers aren’t a great team to target, but they are a middling option if you still need players. New York ranks fourth in shots per game allowed but just 31st in goal allowed. Winnipeg guys are the bottom streamers today.
