Daniel Palencia | Fantasy Outlook

Daniel Palencia settles back into the closer role, offering steady ratios and save opportunities.

Palencia has looked sharp since returning from an early-season lat strain, posting a 3.00 ERA and 0.83 WHIP with three saves over his last six appearances. He occupies the primary closer role for a fourth-place Chicago Cubs team currently sitting at 34-32. With multiple bullpen injuries still affecting Chicago's depth, his high-leverage duties are highly secure.

Our data projects Palencia for 30 saves with a 3.82 ERA and 1.26 WHIP rest-of-season, aligning well with his strong 2025 campaign where he registered a 3.22 ERA.
