Top Hitters
Kansas City Royals’ Bobby Witt Jr. led the MLB with nine hits this weekend. He had seven singles, one double and one home run. Witt drove in three runs, scored four times, walked once and was not a strikeout victim.
Oakland Athletics’ Miguel Andujar and New York Yankees’ Juan Soto posted eight hits each this weekend.
Andujar had six singles, a double and a homer. He drove in three runs, scored three times and did not walk or strike out.
Soto had four singles, three doubles and a triple this weekend. He drove in a run, scored five times, walked once and did not strike out.
Oakland’s Lawrence Butler had seven knocks. He singled four times, doubled twice and tripled once for his hits. Butler drove in five runs, scored three times, walked three times and struck out on two occasions.
Toronto Blue Jays’ George Springer, Baltimore Orioles’ Anthony Santander and Tampa Bay Rays’ Randy Arozarena all hit three home runs.
Springer had five hits total, drove in six runs and scored four times. He failed to draw a walk and struck out four times.
Santander had two singles to go along with his homers. He drove in eight runs, scored three times, walked and struck out once, was hit by a pitch and stole a base.
Arozarena had two doubles and a single to finish with six weekend hits. He drove in four runs and scored four times.
Oakland’s Max Schuemann scored a league-high six runs in three games. He had two doubles, a single and a homer this weekend. Schuemann aldo drove in five runs, walked three times and struck out just twice.
Boston Red Sox’s Jarren Duran scored five runs. He had six hits (three doubles, two homers, one single) and seven RBIs. Duran walked twice and struck out three times.
Pittsburgh Pirates’ Oneil Cruz and St. Louis Cardinals’ Alec Burleson drove in six runs each.
Cruz had three doubles, a homer and a single for his five weekend hits. He scored three times, failed to draw a walk and struck out five times.
Burleson had five singles and a homer for six weekend knocks. He scored twice, had a sacrifice fly, failed to draw a walk and struck out once.
Colorado Rockies’ Ryan McMahon only had one hit (a single) this weekend, but also drew six walks. He went on to score just once, while striking out twice.
Washington Nationals’ Jacob Young stole a league–high four bases this weekend. He had three singles and a double for his four knocks, while also walking once. Young drove in a run and scored three times, while also being hit by a pitch.
Seattle Mariners’ Victor Robles had five hits, a walk and three stolen bases this weekend. Robles delivered four singles and a double, scored once and struck out three times.
St. Louis’ Michael Siani had four singles, a walk and three stolen bases this weekend. He scored three times and struck out on five occasions.
Milwaukee Brewers’ Jackson Chourio finished the weekend with a .556 on-base percentage across two games. He had five hits (three singles, a double and a homer), drove in five runs and scored three times. Chourio stole two bases and struck out just one time.
Baltimore Orioles’ Ryan O'Hearn had a .545 OBP. He had a double, homer, two walks and was hit by two pitches. O’Hearn drove in a run, scored three times and struck out on three occasions.
Los Angeles Angels’ Zach Neto had six hits and a walk this weekend. He posted four singles, a double and a homer, while driving in two runs and scoring three times. Neto stole two bases and struck out only once.
Los Angeles Dodgers’ Freddie Freeman had four hits and a walk this weekend. He homered twice, singled twice, drove in five runs and scored four times. Freeman struck out only once.
