Resilient Veteran Set to Solidify High-Leverage Middle of the Order Role

George Springer enters his age-36 season locked in as the primary designated hitter and everyday offensive anchor for the Toronto Blue Jays. Despite being hampered by a fractured toe and other minor soft-tissue concerns during his career, Springer remains a durable lineup mainstay when healthy. At this stage of his veteran career, transitioning to a full-time designated hitter role will help preserve his physical health, allowing him to focus entirely on maintaining his presence near the top of Toronto's batting order.

Our models expect Springer to provide balanced, multi-category value over the long haul. Coming off a career-high 36-homer campaign in 2025, our projections lean toward a realistic regression to the mean, projecting a .262 batting average, .358 on-base percentage, 14 home runs, and 10 stolen bases across 508 at-bats. While the raw power projection is a step back from last year's outlier surge, his high-walk rate and steady baseline speed ensure he remains a premier run-scorer who doesn't hurt your ratios.

Drafting Springer around his current ADP of 77.47 represents a highly stable floor selection with steady top-tier output. While he may no longer possess the high-end 30-homer upside of his prime, his locked-in lineup security and balanced 5-category contributions make him a very safe and reliable option for fantasy managers seeking depth in the middle rounds.
