Top Hitters
Kansas City Royals’ Salvador Perez, Boston Red Sox’s Rob Refsnyder and Chicago Cubs’ Michael Busch all posted four hits on Monday.

Cincinnati Reds’ Nick Martinez had the best start of the night, working seven shutout innings. He got the win and allowed just two hits and a walk. Martinez struck out five batters along the way.
Cleveland’s Joey Cantillo earned a win after allowing a run on two hits over seven frames. He punched out 10 in his start.
Atlanta Braves’ Charlie Morton took a tough loss after giving up just one run over 6 2/3 innings. He allowed six hits and two walks, while also hitting a batter and striking out seven.
Yankees’ Carlos Rodon struck out nine over six innings, but also allowed four runs (three earned) and didn’t get a decision. He surrendered six hits and a walk.
Philadelphia Phillies’ Cristopher Sanchezworked six scoreless innings, but didn’t get a decision. He gave up four hits and a walk, while striking out four.
Mets’ Tylor Megill tossed six scoreless frames as well, but also left the stadium without a decision. He gave up a hit and two walks, while punching out nine.
Los Angeles Angels’ Reid Detmers worked six innings and got a win. He allowed two runs on five hits and two walks. Detmers struck out eight batters.
Pittsburgh Pirates’ Paul Skenes was a winner after striking out nine over six frames. He gave up a run on six hits and a walk.
Miami’s Valente Bellozo took a loss despite allowing just one earned run over 5 1/3 innings. He gave up three total runs on six hits and one walk. Bellozo struck out a pair.
Boston’s Brayan Bello worked 5 1/3 innings and got a win. He allowed two runs on three hits and five walks, while also striking out five.
Top Relief Pitchers
Pittsburgh’s Aroldis Chapman, Mets’ Edwin Diaz, Angels’ Jose Suarez, Cleveland’s Emmanuel Clase, Cincinnati’s Alexis Diaz and Boston’s Josh Winckowski all earned saves on Monday.
Chapman allowed a run on two hits and a walk in his inning. He struck out a pair to still escape with the save.
Edwin Diaz worked around a hit in his inning. He struck out one batter.
Suarez tossed three scoreless innings for his save. He gave up a walk, while striking out four.
Clase gave up a hit in his scoreless inning. He struck out a pair.
Alexis Diaz retired the three batters he faced in the ninth inning.
Winckowski also went three innings in his save. He allowed a run on two hits and a walk, while striking out three.
Chicago White Sox’s Nick Nastrini tossed 3 1/3 scoreless innings out of the bullpen. He allowed one hit and four walks, while striking out two batters.
