Week 3 Injury Report
Quarterbacks
DeShaun Watson, Cleveland Browns (Shoulder)
Watson was listed as questionable with a shoulder injury, but he insists that he is fine and is going to play this week. We are going to take his word for it being that it's his shoulder.
Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints (Shoulder)
Carr is listed as questionable and will likely end up being a game-time decision. It looked like he was sure to miss at least a week or two earlier in the week. Now it sounds like he has a shot to go after getting in a practice to finish off the week. From what the coaches are saying, we are leaning that he will be out there. If you are depending on Carr, you should still have a backup plan though.
Jimmy Garroppolo, Las Vegas Raiders (Concussion)
Jimmy G is yet to clear the concussion protocol. He doesn't have much time to clear it so it's not looking good for him to suit up. However, he did practice twice this week and is still listed as questionable. So we guess we'll see.
Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts (Concussion)
Richardson has cleared the concussion protocol and will start this week.
Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers (Ankle)
Young is expected to return and start this week after missing last week with an ankle injury and being questionable to play this week. The rookie suiting up could diminish the fantasy value of the Panthers' wide receivers. Andy Dalton looked better than Young has so far this season.
Running Backs
Austin Ekeler, Los Angeles Chargers (Ankle)
After practicing this week, Ekeler is now listed as doubtful. It doesn't look like he'll be able to go this week and we aren't sure when he'll be able to run effectively. Joshua Kelley shouldn't be an option for your fantasy team.
Saquon Barkley, New York Giants (Knee)
Barkley managed to get a few limited practices in this week. He is questionable and will likely be a game-time decision. The issue is he plays on Monday Night Football. So if you don't have Matt Brieda, you probably have to go in a different direction unless we get some sort of news on Saturday.
Miles Sanders, Carolina Panthers (Groin)
Sanders is listed as questionable with a groin injury. He was able to practice this week and the team expects him to play on Sunday. It looks like he's on the right side of questionable.
Justice Hill, Baltimore Ravens (Toe)
Hill is listed as questionable with a turf toe injury. It is unclear whether he'll be able to go or not. He will likely be a game-time decision.
Cordarrelle Patterson, Atlanta Falcons (Thigh)
Patterson is yet to play this season and is once again listed as questionable. We have no idea what is going on with him. He'll be out there when he's out there. Once he is, we'll finally get to see how he looks in his "Joker" role and how it impacts the other fantasy weapons in Atlanta.
Wide Receivers
Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers (Ribs/Knee)
Deebo was only going to get in one limited practice this week on Friday and wasn't seen during the beginning of practice that is open to the media. He will likely be a game-time decision. His teammate Juan Jennings has been listed as doubtful, so the Niners could be down multiple wideouts. The good news is Bradon Aiyuk has been removed from the injury report and is good to go.
Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (Concussion)
After missing last week's touchdown bonanza against the Broncos, Waddle has cleared the concussion protocol and will play this week.
Hollywood Brown, Arizona Cardinals (Thumb)
Brown is listed as questionable and was able to participate in practice on Friday. We don't know a whole lot more than that, but there is a decent chance he will suit up this week.
Rashod Bateman, Baltimore Ravens (Hamstring)
Bateman has been ruled out and will not play in Week 4.
Odell Beckham, Baltimore Ravens (Ankle)
Beckham has been ruled out and will not play in Week 4.
Treylon Burks, Tennessee Titans (Knee)
Burks has been ruled out and will not play this week.
Jonathan Mingo, Carolina Panthers (Concussion)
Mingo has yet to clear the concussion protocol. However, he didn't have the red non-contact jersey on in practice on Friday which is a good sign. Odds are he'll still be out this week, but there is still a chance he's able to play.
Zay Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars (Knee)
Jones has been ruled out and won't play this week.
Tight Ends
Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams (Achilles)
Higbee is listed as questionable with an Achilles injury and was not able to practice all week. Just hearing Achilles sounds ominous and it's hard to imagine taking any sort of risk with that. It seems more likely than not that he won't play this week.
Irv Smith, Cincinnati Bengals (Hamstring)
Smith has once again been ruled out this week and will not play.
