Best NFL DFS Plays Week 9: Lamar Jackson, Rachaad White, CeeDee Lamb
Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 9
Lamar Jackson, Ravens
Jackson was a monumental disappointment against Arizona, but I am going to overlook that performance and concentrate on his matchup with Seattle. He will be needed to do way more against a competitive Seahawks team at home. With the Dallas/Philadelphia game garnering a ton of attention, Jackson might see much less rostership than expected.
Dak Prescott, Cowboys
It’s hard to run on Philadelphia, but you can certainly throw on them. The sportsbooks have Dak with a 248.5 passing yards prop, but I think they are underestimating how much Dallas will need Dak to play well to compete. He could be the slate breaker.
Derek Carr, Saints
This game might turn out to be a blowout, but if it does, there’s a good chance that Carr threw at least two TDs. Las Vegas has Carr -121 to throw over 1.5 passing TDs. This is a great sign that he should have a solid, if not spectacular, game.
Aidan O’Connell, Raiders
I really like his upside, and at a minimum price you can stack the rest of your lineup. If he scores 20 points, you have a great chance to win. If you are feeling really lucky, stack him with Jacobs and Adams and get 90% of all the Raiders' offensive points.

Best DFS Running Back Plays Week 9
Alvin Kamara, Saints
New Orleans needs to start separating themselves from Atlanta, and this week at home against Chicago is the perfect way to start doing that. The Bears have let up 48 catches to opposing RBs, which is right up Kamara’s alley. Am I worried about Taysom Hill? Yes. Am I worried about a potential blowout? Yes. But I think the chance of Kamara having a huge week outweighs those potential negatives.
Josh Jacobs, Raiders
The Raiders are going to keep their offense simple: run it with Jacobs and throw it to Adams. They always seem to play better at home, and I wonder if the Giants are going to be a disaster with Daniel Jones at QB. Jacobs seems like a lock for 25+ touches, and I think he will be rostered less than most of the top RBs on the slate.
Rachaad White, Buccaneers
Houston’s run defense has been surprisingly stout, but White’s fantasy value is really in how well he catches the ball out of the backfield. I’m hoping that he can get five catches for 40-50 yards and maybe run for another 30. If he can find the end zone, we are looking at a potential 18-point week.
Best DFS Running Wide Receivers Week 9
CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys
Let me blow you away with some numbers from the Eagles' defense against WRs: 134 receptions allowed (worst in the league), 1,528 receiving yards allowed (worst in the league), 12 receiving TDs (second-worst in the league). It seems too chalky for Lamb to have success, but I don’t care. I am playing him and think he might be the best play of the week.
Davante Adams, Raiders
No one is happier to see Josh McDaniels leave town than Adams. The last time O’Connell was the starting QB, Adams was targeted a ton, and I expect that will happen against New York. A lot of people will assume the worst with the Raiders, but I am a glass-half-full kind of fantasy expert. I think Adams has 10 catches for 100+ yards and a TD.
Nico Colins, Texans
Collins was a major disappointment in Week 8, but I would say the same about the entire Houston Texans team. They are back home in a winnable matchup against a team that likes to play a ton of zone coverage. Even better is that Tampa lets up close to 9.0 YPT, which should lead to some bigger plays for Collins.
Best DFS Tight End Plays Week 9
T.J. Hockenson, Vikings
He’s pretty expensive on both sites and I am a little worried about Jaren Hall’s ability to handle a pass rush, but there is no better security blanket for new QBs than tight ends, and Hockenson is one of the best in the league. Add to that the fact that the Falcons have let up the fifth-most receptions to opposing tight ends, making Hockenson the best spend-up player at the position
Daniel Bellinger, Giants
Darren Waller has been ruled out and Bellinger showed some promise last season as a receiver. If the Giants make it to the red zone, I can see them faking a handoff to Saquon and throwing the short TD to Bellinger.
Luke Musgrave, Packers
He was a DNP in practice on Thursday, but if he ends up being active the Rams are the worst team against opposing tight ends in the league. If he is unable to go, keep an eye on rookie Tucker Kraft, who will likely get the start and play two-thirds of the snaps.
