NFL Power Rankings Week 11: Cowboys Tumble while Steelers Continue to Climb
The newest power rankings for Week 11 are out and there are lots of big shifts in both directions.
32. Las Vegas Raiders
Last Week: 32
Since the last time the Raiders played, they've announced that Desmond Ridder will be their new starting quarterback. They remain in the basement where they belong.
31. Jacksonville Jaguars
Last Week: 30
The Jags lost another game and now they're starting Mac Jones and we don't know for how long. Their offense was held to single digits in Week 10 and there is no reason for optimism in Week 11.
30. Tennessee Titans
Last Week: 28
Will Levis returned Sunday and we still aren't sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Either way, they lost another game and drop two spots.
29. New York Giants
Last Week: 25
New York is falling apart and it now looks like Daniel Jones has taken his last snap as a Giant. Jones isn't great or even average, but he gives them more potential than Drew Lock or Tommy Devito. However, a contract clause will likely cause him to sit out the remainder of the year.
28. New Orleans Saints
Last Week: 31
The Saints pulled off a shocking win against the Falcons in Week 10 and climb up three spots. Perhaps a new coaching staff can build off a nice win. More likely, it was a one-week fluke.
27. New England Patriots
Last Week: 29
The Pats came out and made the Bears look awful this week in a convincing victory.
26. Carolina Panthers
Last Week: 27
After knocking off the Giants on Sunday, the Panthers have now won two games in a row with Bryce Young under center. That is legitimate progress even if he didn't exactly light the world on fire statistically.
25. Dallas Cowboys
Last Week: 20
Dak Prescott is done for the season and things are going to get ugly in Dallas. We would be shocked if they don't continue to fall. Unless something changes quickly, they'll be ending up closer to 30 in a hurry.
24. New York Jets
Last Week: 23
The Jets got embarrassed on Sunday and the offense was pitiful, only managing two field goals. This feels like a locker room that is going to implode and things could get really ugly for a team that is just starting to realize they went all in and it's a disaster.
23. Cleveland Browns
Last Week: 26
The Browns climbed three spots while on their bye. That's just how things landed.
22. Indianapolis Colts
Last Week: 21
Indy got beat up on by the Bills, but the game was actually a bit more competitive than we expected.
21. Chicago Bears
Last Week: 19
The Bears offense was dominated by a subpar Patriots offense. Caleb Williams is regressing and it has to be a scary sight for this franchise.
20. Seattle Seahawks
Last Week: 22
The Seahawks jump up a few spots during their bye week.
19. Los Angeles Rams
Last Week: 14
The Rams' offense was stifled by a Miami defense that hasn't been able to stop anyone in a primetime loss at home on Monday Night Football.
18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Last Week: 17
The Bucs lost to the Niners before heading into their bye week. They will hope to get healthy over the next two weeks - most notably Mike Evans should be back sooner rather than later.
17. Miami Dolphins
Last Week: 24
Miami won a season-saving type of game on Monday Night Football. The offense still didn't look right, but it looked better. However, the defense was great. They are still a long shot to push for a playoff spot, but that win kept a glimmer of hope alive.
16. Denver Broncos
Last Week: 18
Denver suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Chiefs on a blocked chip shot field goal as time expired. Even with a loss, they climbed up two spots in the rankings.
15. Cincinnati Bengals
Last Week: 15
Cincy played Baltimore down to the wire and lost going for two instead of playing for overtime. They stay put at 15, but the playoffs are slipping out of reach.
14. Los Angeles Chargers
Last Week: 16
The Chargers beat the Titans and appear to just be what they are. They aren't scaring anyone but they're a well-coached team that runs the ball and plays defense. We expect them to lose to good teams and beat bad teams while usually being competitive in most matchups.
13. Atlanta Falcons
Last Week: 8
Atlanta somehow lost to the Saints in Week 10. That's a horrible loss for a team that had an opportunity to take a stranglehold on the division with what should have been a layup victory.
12. Houston Texans
Last Week: 11
The Texans suffered an epic collapse to lose on Sunday Night Football to the Lions. There is no shame in losing to Detroit, but you can't lose games like that. They don't look like real contenders this season. Perhaps the return of Nico Collins will change that.
11. San Francisco 49ers
Last Week: 13
The Niners knocked off Tampa Bay and got Christian McCaffrey back. They will look to put it all together just in time for another deep playoff run.
10. Minnesota Vikings
Last Week: 9
Despite beating the Jags, the Vikings slip one spot. They only managed to score 12 points because this offense is falling apart. Sam Darnold is turning into the pumpkin we always knew he was. It's hard to picture this team going anywhere unless he turns things back around in a hurry.
9. Arizona Cardinals
Last Week: 12
The first-place Cardinals throttled the Jets in Week 10. At some point, we have to take this team seriously as they continue to pile up wins.
8. Green Bay Packers
Last Week: 10
The Packers slide up a few spots while on their week.
7. Washington Commanders
Last Week: 4
Washington lost a one-point game to the Steelers after a late TD to give up the lead. This felt like a playoff-type environment.
6. Philadelphia Eagles
Last Week: 7
Philly has put it all together and is looking great on both sides of the ball. They are going to be tough to deal with down the stretch.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers
Last Week: 6
The Steelers pulled off a huge win against the Commanders in dramatic fashion on Sunday. This team knows how to win games and currently sits atop the AFC North at 7-2.
4. Baltimore Ravens
Last Week: 5
Baltimore escaped with a win on Thursday Night Football and is battling with Pittsburgh for the division crown. They have the offensive stars to keep them one spot ahead of the Steelers, but their defense could cause them to drop if they don't get it together soon.
3. Buffalo Bills
Last Week: 3
The Bills knocked off the Colts in a game that was probably closer than it should have been, but they stay put at No. 3 this week.
2. Detroit Lions
Last Week: 2
The Lions did a Houdini act to somehow escape with a win on Sunday Night Football against Houston. Regardless of how they got there, it was a big win and they showed fight.
1. Kansas City Chiefs
Last Week: 1
It took a miracle, nevertheless, the reigning back-to-back champs remain undefeated. They have sat in this top spot for the entire season and at this point, a loss may not dethrone them.
