Promising Sophomore Tight End Remains a High-Value Target Despite Recent Spring Absences

After a stellar rookie campaign where he caught 76 passes for 771 yards, Harold Fannin enters his second year as the clear top tight end on our depth chart in Cleveland. Our models project another highly productive season, forecasting 76 receptions on 108 targets for 797 yards and five touchdowns. Operating as a primary pass-catcher for Deshaun Watson, Fannin has established himself as a reliable safety valve with legitimate TE1 upside in PPR leagues.

However, fantasy managers must monitor his health leading into training camp. Fannin sat out all of spring workouts and missed June's offseason practices due to an undisclosed issue. While he has plenty of time to recover before the season kicks off, these missed reps introduce some early-season volatility to an otherwise extremely secure starting role in the Browns' offense.

This recent injury scare has significantly impacted his draft market. After his ADP peaked in the mid-30s in early June, his draft cost plummeted to 79 following news of his practice absences. At this depressed price point, our projections view Fannin as an absolute steal. If he can secure a clean bill of health by August, his shifting market price represents a premier value opportunity for managers looking to anchor their tight end position.
