Red-Hot Carter Jensen Is a Must-Start Option in All Formats

Carter Jensen is on fire, batting .500 (10-for-20) with two homers over his last seven games, boosting his 14-day average to a spectacular .390. This offensive surge is vital for the fifth-place Royals (32-46), who are currently dealing with a hand injury to Vinnie Pasquantino. Jensen's role as the primary everyday catcher is completely secure, and he is thriving with the extra responsibility.

This extreme hot streak will not last forever, but Jensen's power growth is entirely real. He already has 10 home runs on the year, rapidly approaching our modest full-season projection of 13. While his current .244 season average is closer to his projected .242 mark, his outstanding minor-league pedigree suggests his current breakout is sustainable as a top-tier fantasy catcher.

The Royals play seven road games this week, starting with four in Tampa Bay before facing the White Sox for three. Jensen will face tough arms in Drew Rasmussen (2.59 ERA) and Shane McClanahan (3.33 ERA) early, but the schedule softens against high-ERA options like Ian Seymour (5.27 ERA) and Anthony Kay (4.76 ERA). With full volume and a scorching bat, he is an elite lineup option. Verdict: Start.
