Varsho's wrist injury and a brutal pitching slate make him a bench candidate

Daulton Varsho is battling left wrist inflammation from June 5, though X-rays were negative and he is day-to-day. Before this, he was solid over his last 30 days, hitting .284, though he slid to .200 over his last 14 days. Toronto's everyday starting center fielder hopes to return quickly to boost the third-place Blue Jays (32-34) during their two-game winning streak.
