Luke Weaver | Fantasy Outlook

Luke Weaver dominates in high-leverage setup role with flawless month of relief

Weaver has been spectacular of late, maintaining a pristine 0.00 ERA and a 0.74 WHIP over his last 12.2 innings while racking up seven holds. He has locked down the primary setup role for the fifth-place Mets (29-36), especially with the bullpen thinned by season-ending injuries to Reed Garrett and Dedniel Nunez.

While this flawless run is outstanding, regression is inevitable given his 4.04 projected ERA and career norms. However, his strong 1.04 WHIP and 9.03 K/9 on the season suggest his skill gains are stable, making him a reliable holds asset even as his ERA naturally climbs.

The Mets host six games this week against the Cardinals and Braves. Weaver is projected to pitch 3.2 innings of solid relief with over two strikeouts, making him a primary target for managers chasing holds in deeper formats. Verdict: Hold.
