Yankees 9, Rays 1

Carlos Rodon improved to 10-7 after striking out 10 batters over seven innings for New York. He allowed a run on two hits and two walks.

Zack Littell took the loss and fell to 3-7 on the season. He allowed five runs on nine hits and two walks, while striking out six over 5 2/3 innings.

Tigers 8, Guardians 2

Tarik Skubal moved to 11-3 after allowing just one run over seven innings. He gave up 10 hits and one walk, but had six strikeouts to work out of trouble. Skubal now has a 2.34 earned run average for the season.

Carlos Carrasco fell to 3-8 after giving up six runs on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out six and walked none.

Mets 6, Marlins 4

David Peterson improved to 5-0 after working the first five innings for New York. He gave up two runs on six hits and four walks, while striking out four. Peterson has a 3.14 ERA this season.

Jose Butto and Phil Maton earned holds before Edwin Diaz picked up his 12th save of the season. Diaz allowed a run on two hits and a walk.

Yonny Chirinos took the loss for Miami, allowing five runs on nine hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out four along the way.

Pirates 2, Cardinals 1

Mitch Keller worked the first seven innings for Pittsburgh. He allowed a run on six hits and two walks, while striking out three. Keller now has a 3.34 ERA this season.

Aroldis Chapman earned his second win before David Bednar got his 18th save.

Andre Pallante struck out three batters over six innings in his start for St. Louis. He gave up a run on three hits and two walks.

John King eventually took the loss after allowing a run in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Reds 4, Braves 1

Hunter Greene moved to 7-4 after working seven scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and three walks, while striking out seven batters. Greene’s ERA is down to 3.14.

Reynaldo Lopez took the loss after giving up four runs on seven hits and two walks over six frames. He struck out five and saw his ERA rise to 2.12.

Twins 7, Phillies 2

Bailey Ober struck out four over seven innings in his start for Minnesota. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk and moved to 9-5 overall.

Cole Sands picked up the save after working the final two innings.

Ranger Suarez fell to 10-5 after giving up three runs on seven hits and a walk over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out four and saw his ERA rise to 2.87.

Cubs 3, Brewers 1

Javier Assad started for Chicago, but only made it 3 1/3 innings. He allowed a hit and six walks, but no runs. Assad struck out a pair.

Drew Smyly got the win after recording the next five outs. Tyson Miller, Mark Leiter Jr. and Porter Hodge all earned holds before Hector Neris claimed his 14th save of the season.

Tobias Myers took the loss after allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out six and saw his ERA rise to 3.14.

Rangers 4, White Sox 3 (10 inn.)

Michael Lorenzen started for Texas, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out eight batters and now has a 3.53 ERA for the season.

Jonathan Hernandez got his third win out of the pen after working a scoreless 10th inning.

Erick Fedde started and worked 6 1/3 innings for Chicago. He allowed two runs on three hits and two walks, while striking out five. Fedde has a 2.98 ERA this season.

John Brebbia was charged with a blown save before Steven Wilson took his sixth loss for the White Sox.

Royals 10, Diamondbacks 4

Cole Ragans moved to 7-6 after striking out five over six innings for Kansas City. He gave up three runs on six hits and two walks, while striking out five. Ragans has a 3.23 ERA this season.

Yilber Diaz took the loss after allowing seven runs on nine hits and a walk over three innings. Diaz did not record a strikeout.

Rockies 9, Red Sox 8 (12 inn.)

Austin Gomber started for Colorado, giving up four runs on six hits and a walk in 5 2/3 innings of work. He struck out five.

Jalen Beeks was later charged with a blown save. Justin Lawrence got his third win after allowing an unearned run in two innings of work.

Tanner Houck started for Boston, working the first six innings. He allowed four runs on 10 hits and three walks, while striking out a pair. Houck has a 2.71 ERA this season.

Bailey Horn later was charged with a blown save and loss.

Athletics 4, Astros 0

Hogan Harris moved to 2-3 after striking out seven over 6 2/3 scoreless innings for Oakland. He allowed seven hits and two walks and now has a 2.98 ERA.

Spencer Arrighetti fell to 4-8 after allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out three batters.

Angels 3, Mariners 1

Tyler Anderson started and struck out eight over 5 2/3 innings for Los Angeles. He gave up a run on three hits and a walk, and will carry a 2.91 ERA into his next start.

Luis Garcia got his fifth win out of the pen. Carlos Estevez worked a scoreless ninth inning to claim his 19th save.

Bryce Miller started for Seattle, striking out five over seven scoreless innings. He allowed three hits and no walks, and now has a 3.41 ERA.

Ryne Stanek earned a hold before Andres Munoz was charged with a blown save. Trent Thornton took the loss, his second of the season.

Dodgers 3, Giants 2

River Ryan started and pitched the first 5 1/3 innings for Los Angeles. He allowed an unearned run on four hits and three walks, while striking out a pair.

Ryan Yarbrough was charged with a blown save before Blake Treinen got the win. Daniel Hudson locked up his seventh save with a scoreless ninth inning.

Blake Snell started for San Francisco, working the first six frames. He gave up two runs on four hits and two walks, while striking out four.

Erik Miller later took the loss after allowing a run in the eighth inning.
