Top Hitters

Houston Astros’ Victor Caratini and Yordan Alvarez, Cincinnati Reds’ TJ Friedl, Chicago White Sox’s Luis Robert Jr. and Miami Marlins’ Kyle Stowers all had three hits on Monday.

Caratini had three singles, driving in a run along the way. He also walked once.

Alvarez had two singles and a double. He was also hit by a pitch and struck out once.

Friedl hit two singles and a solo home run. He scored two runs for the Reds.

Robert had three singles on the day. He drove in a run, stole a base and scored a run.

Stowers also had three singles and an RBI. He went on to score two runs.

Texas Rangers’ Corey Seager belted two home runs. He drove in four runs, scored twice and also walked once.

Arizona Diamondbacks’ Adrian Del Castillo drove in six runs on a single and a homer. He also walked once, stole a base, scored once and struck out twice.

Kansas City Royals’ Salvador Perez, Pittsburgh Pirates’ Jared Triolo and San Diego Padres’ Jackson Merrill all drove in three runs.

Perez had a single and double on the night. He also struck out twice.

Triolo hit a home run for his only hit. He walked and struck out once each.

Merrill had a double for his lone hit. 

White Sox’s Brooks Baldwin had two hits and two walks. Both of hits were singles, and he also stole a base and scored a run.

San Francisco Giants’ LaMonte Wade Jr. had two singles and a walk. He drove in a run as well.

Miami’s Nick Fortes had two hits and a sacrifice fly on the night. He singled and homered for his hits, drove in a pair and scored once.

Baltimore Orioles’ Ramon Urias had two hits (a double and a home run). He drove in one run and scored twice.

Kansas City’s Paul DeJong also had a double and homer for his two knocks. He drove in two runs, scored once and also struck out once.

Houston’s Yainer Diaz had a single and homer on the night. He scored two runs, drove in one and also was a strikeout victim.

San Francisco’s Matt Chapman also had a single and homer on the evening. He drove in one and scored once.

Arizona Diamondbacks’ Jake McCarthy hit a home run and was plunked by a pitch. He drove in two runs and scored twice.

Arizona’s Joc Pederson hit a homer for his lone hit. He also walked once and was hit by a pitch. Pederson drove in a run and scored two times.

Arizona’s Lourdes Gurriel Jr. had a single and a walk and was also plunked by a pitch. He went on to score two runs.

San Diego’s Jurickson Profar had a single, stolen base and two runs scored on the night.

Houston’s Jeremy Pena had a single and two runs scored, while also striking out twice.

Minnesota Twins’ Edouard Julien had a single, a walk and two runs scored. 

New York Mets’ J.D. Martinez drove in two runs on a home run. He scored one run and struck out twice.

Los Angeles Dodgers’ Max Muncy hit a home run in his MLB return. He drove in two runs and struck out once.

Cincinnati’s Ty France singled, doubled and drove in two runs. He scored once and was a strikeout victim.

Los Angeles Angels’ Jo Adell hit a double and scored two runs. He also struck out once.

Miami’s Xavier Edwards scored two runs on the night. He doubled and struck out once.

Oakland Athletics’ JJ Bledaydrove in two runs on a homer and walk. He scored once and struck out once.

Boston Red Sox’s Masataka Yoshida scored two runs after singling and homering. He scored once.

Top Starting Pitchers

Dodgers’ Gavin Stone earned a win after working seven scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and two walks, while striking out 10 batters.

Oakland’s Joe Boyle earned the victory after tossing six scoreless frames. He gave up two hits and three walks, while punching out six.

San Francisco’s Kyle Harrison also was a winner after allowing a run over six innings. He surrendered five hits and two walks, while striking out five.

Houston’s Yusei Kikuchi worked 5 2/3 innings in his start and didn’t get a decision. He allowed three runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk. Kikuchi struck out seven.

Kansas City’s Seth Lugo earned the win after striking out eight over seven innings. He gave up two runs on four hits and three walks.

New York’s David Peterson didn’t earn a decision after punching out eight over seven frames. He allowed three runs (two earned) on six knocks and a walk.

Seattle Mariners’ Bryan Woo took the loss despite allowing just two runs over 6 1/3 innings. He allowed two hits, two walks and a hit batter, while striking out five.

San Diego’s Michael King was a winner after working six innings. He gave up two runs on four hits, three walks and a hit batter, while striking out six.

Boston’s Tanner Houck did not earn a decision after working six innings. He allowed three runs (two earned) on eight hits and a hit batter. Houck struck out eight.

Pittsburgh’s Luis L. Ortiz struck out seven batters over six innings, but also allowed four runs.

Top Relievers

Texas’ Jose Urena earned a win after working four scoreless innings out of the bullpen. He allowed two hits and two walks, while striking out three.

Minnesota’s Trevor Richards and Baltimore’s Keegan Akin tossed two scoreless innings each. 

Richards hit two batters, but struck out one to get through two innings.

Akin retired all six batters he faced, striking out five of them.

Boston’s Chris Martin and San Diego’s Jason Adam each struck out three batters in an inning of work.

Martin worked around two hits and got a hold. Adam also earned a hold - he retired the three batters he faced.

Texas’ Kirby Yates, Dodgers’ Evan Phillips, San Francisco’s Jordan Hicks, Kansas City’s John Schreiber, San Diego’s Robert Suarez and Oakland’s Mason Miller earned saves.

Yates retired the three batters he faced, striking out two of them.

Phillips also retired the only three batters he faced. He struck out one of them.

Hicks allowed two hits, but was able to get the other three batters he faced out to emerge with the save.

Schreiber gave up one hit, but induced a double play groundball to only have to face the minimum.

Suarez allowed a run in his inning of work. He gave up a hit and walk.

Miller retired all three batters he faced, striking out two of them.
