Kyle Harrison's quick bounce-back reinforces his breakout status in the Brewers' rotation.
Slotting in as the number two starter for the first-place Brewers (43-26), Harrison recovered from a rough Las Vegas outing with six shutout frames on June 14. Over his last 30 days, he has excelled with a 3.08 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts in 26.3 innings. He is locked into a critical rotation role, especially with rotation mates Brandon Woodruff and Logan Henderson currently sidelined on the injured list.
Harrison has enjoyed a true breakout in 2026, compiling an outstanding 2.51 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over 64.5 innings, far surpassing his 4.67 ERA from last season. Our models project some regression toward a 4.24 ERA and 1.29 WHIP over the rest of the season, but his high-octane 11.16 K/9 strikeout rate is entirely legitimate. Even if his ratios normalize slightly, his elite swing-and-miss stuff makes his breakout sustainable.
Harrison is scheduled for a single start on June 20 on the road against the Braves. He faces a tough matchup in Bryce Elder, who boasts a strong 2.73 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. Despite the difficult road environment, Harrison's current form and high strikeout floor make him a must-start option. Verdict: Start.
