The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks have a tough game to follow after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons lit up the scoreboard last week. In Week 5, we had one of the best Thursday Night Football games we've ever gotten, with almost every player putting up monster numbers. Hopefully, we get more of the same this week when the Niners head up to Seattle.

At 2-3, San Fran will look to get right against the division-leading Seahawks, who sit atop the NFC West at 3-2. If Seattle can pull this off, it would give them a solid two-game lead against the division favorites.

Last week, we hit on all of our best bets and two out of three of our prop bets, and this week we'll look to do even better and continue to win you money.

Week 6 NFL Best Bets

This is narratively a very strange matchup we have on Thursday Night Football. We have the Seahawks, who everyone believes are frauds regardless of how many bad teams they knocked off early, and the 49ers, who everyone still believes is a Super Bowl contender even though they have lost more games than they've won.

As we mentioned, Seattle has had a cakewalk schedule up to this point, while San Francisco has been decimated by injuries. However, the outcome of this game could flip that script on both teams if the Niners can't find a way to win.

Seattle's path to victory seems to be running the ball effectively with Kenneth Walker and getting an early lead. This would also neutralize the 49ers' rushing attack and force them to be a pass-heavy offense. The Seahawks pass defense has been strong so far this season, while Brock Purdy has fallen short of expectations. If the Seahawks can follow this game script, then they have a shot of knocking off the 49ers and taking a commanding lead in the NFC West.

However, the 49ers will look to pound the ball with Jordan Mason and wear down the Seahawks defense. After establishing the run, they can make those splash plays with their playmakers like Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel Sr., and George Kittle. Injuries have battered San Francisco this season, but they are now relatively healthy outside of Christian McCaffrey. They have more than enough firepower to get the job done in this game.

Geno Smith has some weapons of his own though. DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Noah Fant, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are a nice set of pass-catchers to go along with their rushing attack. They can expose a 49ers defense that hasn't been the dominant force this year that they've been in past seasons. This is the most vulnerable we've seen San Francisco in years and if Seattle wants to have any chance of winning this division, they have to knock them off and win this game at home.

The Picks

Spread: Seattle Seahawks +3.5 (-110)
Over/Under: Under 49.5 (-110)
Moneyline: San Francisco 49ers (-185)

Player Props of the Night

Prop #1: Jordan Mason 80+ Rushing Yards (-135)

Mason has been outstanding this season and the 49ers are going to look to establish a dominant rushing attack in this game. This line is pretty high at 80 yards, but we expect Mason to be able to get to it. It's a number he's topped in four of five games so far this season, and in the game he didn't reach it he was stopped at 77 rushing yards. He has given us little reason to believe that he's going to fall short this week in Seattle.

Prop #2: Kenneth Walker III 60+ Rushing Yards (-145)

Walker is one of the toughest runners in the game. Not only can he pound the ball between the tackles, but he tends to break off at least one long run in just about every game. He's coming off his only bad game of the season against the New York Giants and we expect him to bounce back. It was the only game he played this year in which he didn't break off a run of more than 20 yards. Even against the Detroit Lions' top rush defense, he ran for 80 yards on 6.7 yards per carry. This is a mark he should be able to clear this week against the 49ers.

Prop #3: DK Metcalf 60+ Receiving Yards (-145)

Metcalf has reestablished himself as the one true force in the Seahawks' passing attack. Through five games, he has 421 yards, including three 100+ yard games. He has busted off a ton of big plays and will look to do the same against a 49ers' defense with injuries at the safety position. We expect Metcalf to take full advantage and make his presence felt deep downfield with another big game fueled by big splash plays downfield.
