Dynasty Players Rebuilding Owners Should Consider Moving - AFC East Edition | Amari Cooper, Tyreek Hill, Hunter Henry, Davante Adams and More

Identifying some dynasty players who should maybe be moved by rebuilding teams.

It’s time to continue a fantasy football series where I identify players that rebuilding dynasty owners should consider moving.

We covered the North divisions (NFC and AFC) and NFC East already and now will talk about the AFC East.

Buffalo Bills

There’s really not many great dynasty trade options on the Bills that rebuilding owners should be looking to move.

The most obvious one would be Amari Cooper.

He’s 30 years old and likely only has a couple more solid seasons in him. Cooper’s trade value isn’t very high right now, so that’s an unfortunate thing. I’d try to wait for a big fantasy showing before I moved Cooper, but if your deadline is approaching, I’d try to move Cooper for a younger receiver or future draft assets.

Miami Dolphins

There’s three Dolphins who I’d try to move.

The first and most valuable is Tyreek Hill. He’s one of the top fantasy wideouts in the game, but is also 30 years old.

The tricky thing with trading him is that his value is lower because of the extended absence of Tua Tagovailoa this season. If you can get someone to pay full price and bank on Hill returning to his old form, then I’m all for trading Hill away.

He’s probably got a few good seasons in him yet, but at some point, you’d expect his production to start falling off a bit. There’s also constant worry about Tagovailoa’s health, and moving Hill now helps you not have to worry about that aspect of things anymore.

Raheem Mostert is another veteran I’d look to move. He’s actually someone I’d have wanted to move before the season even started, but he’s had a big enough role the past three games where he should have built up a little trade value again.

Mostert isn’t going to net you a massive return, but anytime you can move a RB who might not be around in a season or two, I’m doing it. The deeper the league, the more you should get back for Mostert.

Jonnu Smith is the last Dolphin I’d look to trade. The veteran tight end has produced a couple big games this season, but is 29 years old and never really been a standout fantasy player.

The return again won’t be huge, but in a deeper league, you should be able to get a little something for him. A late-round draft pick would do the trick for me.

New England Patriots

There’s a few Patriots I’d look to move this season.

The first is Jacoby Brissett. He lost the starting job to Drake Maye, but with Maye dealing with a concussion, Brissett might get some starts again.

The best team to trade Brissett to is the one who rosters Maye. That way that owner has a starting quarterback for the Patriots no matter what.

You might need to add another player to the deal just to get a late-round draft pick in return, but it’s a way to get a little something out of Brissett. Maybe you could package Brissett and a late-round pick to move up a round?

Hunter Henry is the next Patriot I’d want to move. He’s 30 years old, but has a decent amount of trade value with a few good outings this season.

I’d target a mid-round draft pick in return, or maybe a young TE you might like. Again, you might need to add a pick or another player to get that younger TE with some upside, but I’d want that guy over an aging Henry on a rebuilding dynasty team.

Running backs Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson are two more I’d look to trade.

Neither look to have super long NFL careers ahead of them, but they might be good depth for a contending team, especially if they already roster one of those two. For Stevenson, you’re probably getting a mid-round pick in return, or a young skill position player who has produced a bit in the NFL. For Gibson, a late-round pick or young player who has hardly played is probably the return.

Again, these aren’t massive trades, but they do move your rebuilding dynasty team to a better spot going forward.

New York Jets

The Jets are a great roster when it comes to aging players to trade away.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is one trade option. He’s not going to net a big-time return, but getting a little something for a player who is likely out of the league in the next two years is something I’d definitely want to do.

Davante Adams is another one I’d want to trade. He’s 32 years old and has already shown signs of slowing down. A desperate enough dynasty owner would probably still pay a good price to land Adams if you floated his name on the trade block.

Allen Lazard and Mike Williams are two other wide receivers I’d want to move.

Lazard has more trade value as the younger and more productive player (at least this season). Lazard is injured, so his trade value is down, but I’m not sure he has a future in the league once Rodgers is gone. Get anything you can for him.

Williams could become a better fantasy asset if he’s traded by the Jets, and if you can wait for that move, by all means do it. I think Williams has a little more left in the tank, but after his injury-riddled career, I’d try to get anything I could for him.

Tyler Conklin is the last Jet I’d look to move. His biggest trade value comes from being a tight end, and after scores in two straight games, you should be able to get a little something for him.
