Key Fantasy Football Injuries Heading into Week 12: Brock Purdy, Isiah Pacheco, Mike Evans, Jake Ferguson and More
These are all the injuries you need to monitor throughout the week.
Quarterbacks
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers (Shoulder)
Purdy is reportedly dealing with soreness in his throwing shoulder. This isn't a situation we are panicking over, but it is a situation worth monitoring throughout the week. He's officially listed as questionable.
Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings (Foot)
Darnold is dealing with a minor foot injury but doesn't appear to be in any danger of missing any time.
Running Backs
Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs (Leg)
Pacheco is eligible to return from injured reserve this week, but isn't a lock. However, there is a chance he plays on Sunday. Once he is active, it's going to turn the Kansas City backfield into a muddied-up mess with Pacheco and Kareem Hunt. Start Hunt while Pacheco is out, then you'll have to play it by ear after that. Hunt is still start-worthy in Pacheco's first game back, whether it's this week or in the near future.
Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers (Quad/Calf)
Jacobs seems to be dealing with wear and tear issues more than anything else and is fully expected to be out there in Week 12. Rookie MarShawn Lloyd has also landed on the NFI list after dealing with appendicitis last week. His fantasy year is essentially lost. If Jacobs were to miss time, Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks would be in some sort of time split.
D'Andre Swift, Chicago Bears (Groin)
Swift wasn't able to practice to start the week due to a groin injury he suffered last week. He appears to be truly questionable for Week 12.
Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins (Hip)
Mostert got in a full practice to start the week. However, he is well on his way to being relegated to the team's RB3 and no longer holds fantasy value.
Alexander Mattison, Las Vegas Raiders (Ankle)
Neither Mattison nor Zamir White were able to practice at all to start the week and both are in danger of missing Week 12. If both miss, Ameer Abdullah becomes an intriguing flex option this week.
Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans (Concussion)
Spears suffered a concussion in Week 11 and will have to clear the league's concussion protocol before he is able to return to action.
Wide Receivers
Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Hamstring)
Evans returned to practice to start the week and plans to return to action in Week 12.
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys (Back/Foot)
Lamb started off the week with a limited practice and is expected to play through his ailments.
Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins (Wrist)
This is par for the course with Hill. He's been nursing a wrist injury, but it hasn't cost him any time. It may be impacting his production though.
DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles (Hamstring)
Smith did not practice to start the week, much like last week. He played through the injury last week and we hope for the same results this week. However, hamstring injuries are always worth monitoring.
Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans (Illness)
Ridley is dealing with an illness that we know very little about. Odds are he'll be fine for Sunday, but this is worth keeping an eye on.
Darius Slayton, New York Giants (Concussion)
Slayton looks set to return from a Week 10 concussion coming off a bye week.
Adam Thielen, Carolina Panthers (Hamstring)
Thielen was limited with the same hamstring injury that landed him on injured reserve, but he hopes to return this week. However, he was non-committal when asked about a definitive return.
Tight Ends
George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers (Hamstring)
After missing last week's game, Kittle was able to get in a limited practice to start the week. Hamstring injuries are tricky and have a high re-injury risk, but being able to practice at all is a good sign for Week 12.
Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys (Concussion)
The team does not expect Ferguson to be able to play in Week 12 on a short week after suffering a concussion on Monday Night Football. Luke Schoonmaker is the next man up.
Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions (Shoulder)
LaPorta missed Week 11 but got in a full practice to start the week and is on track to play in Week 12.
Noah Fant, Seattle Seahawks (Groin)
Fant started off another week with a DNP and is in danger of missing another week with an injury that we knew was going to take a while to heal.
Theo Johnson, New York Giants (Back)
Johnson was limited to start the week, but looks like he's on the right side of questionable for Week 12 coming off a Week 11 bye.
