Phillies 4, Cardinals 3
Aaron Nola improved to 2-1 after allowing two runs on three hits and three walks over six innings. He only struck out three batters along the way, while allowing two home runs.
Jeff Hoffman got his first save of the season. Normal closer Jose Alvarado has a 7.94 earned run average so far this season, so this is something to watch.
Lance Lynn took a no decision after allowing two unearned runs across five innings. He allowed just one hit, but four walks. Lynn struck out six batters.
Andre Pallante took the loss out of the pen after not retiring a batter and allowing two runs.
Mariners 6, Blue Jays 1 (10 inn.)
Logan Gilbert started for Seattle, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over 7 2/3 strong innings. He struck out eight along the way and lowered his ERA to 2.66.
Andres Munoz got his first win after getting four outs for the Mariners.
Yusei Kikuchi allowed a run on three hits and two walks over six innings for Toronto. He struck out nine batters along the way. Tim Mayza was the losing pitcher after getting just one out in the 10th inning.

Jake Bird was tagged with a blown save, and Justin Lawrence eventually took the loss after allowing two runs in an inning of work. Lawrence has an 11.57 ERA this season.
Giants 7, Nationals 1
Jordan Hicks started for San Francisco, getting the win after allowing one run over six innings. He allowed four hits and two walks, while striking out two.
Patrick Corbin (0-2) was shelled across 5 2/3 innings, allowing seven runs on 11 hits, while striking out a pair. Corbin’s ERA is 8.44 heading into his next start.
Rays 4, Angels 2
Zack Littell didn’t factor into the decision after only working 4 1/3 innings. He allowed a run on six hits and three walks, while striking out four.
Kevin Kelly got the win after getting five outs for the Rays. Pete Fairbanks struck out three in a scoreless ninth to earn his second save - his ERA still sits at 11.25, however.
Jose Soriano started and took the loss for Los Angeles. He allowed four runs on six hits over four innings. Soriano didn’t walk a batter and struck out six.
Guardians 7, White Sox 6 (10 inn.)
Tanner Bibee started for Cleveland, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks over 4 1/3 innings, while striking out two. Eli Morgan got his first win after allowing an unearned run in the 10th inning.
Chicago’s Erick Fedde allowed five runs (four earned) on four hits and three walks over five innings. Tanner Banks was charged with a blown save, and Bryan Shaw also blew a save and took the loss too.
Brewers 7, Reds 2
Wade Miley made his first start for Milwaukee, but only lasted four innings, so he didn’t factor into the decision. He allowed a run on one hit and two walks, while failing to record a strikeout.
Bryse Wilson got the win after three solid innings out of the pen, allowing a run along the way.
Hunter Greene was charged with six earned runs (seven total) over six innings. He allowed six hits and a walk, while striking out nine.
Padres 10, Cubs 2
Dylan Cease earned his first win in a San Diego uniform after allowing two unearned runs over six frames. He surrendered just two hits and two walks, while striking out seven. Cease has a 2.16 ERA so far.
Kyle Hendricks dropped to 0-2 after allowing seven runs on nine hits over five innings. He struck out two and allowed two homers. His ERA is 12.08 so far.
Marlins 5, Yankees 2
Ryan Weathers tossed five scoreless innings to pick up the win for Miami. He surrendered three hits and three walks, with just one strikeout.
Tanner Scott got his first save despite allowing three walks and a hit over 1 2/3 innings. His fantasy stock obviously takes a hit if Miami is going to struggle winning games - he could be a trade target if he’s pitching well to that point of the season, so I wouldn’t recommend dropping him.
Marcus Stroman fell to 1-1 after allowing four runs on four hits and four walks over five innings. Stroman did finish with seven strikeouts.
Orioles 7, Red Sox 5
Cole Irvin allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks, but was taken off the hook after Baltimore rallied. Irvin struck out four over five innings, but will carry a 8.10 ERA into his next start.
Mike Baumann earned his first win out of the pen, and Craig Kimbrel got his second save after striking out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth.
Kutter Crawford was good over five innings, not allowing a run on two hits and four walks, while striking out six.
Chris Martin blew his second save of the season and is now 1-1 after allowing four runs (three earned) over an inning.
Royals 11, Astros 2
Seth Lugo was solid again for Kansas City, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. Lugo, now 2-0 on the season, struck out two batters and has a 1.45 ERA so far this season.
Prospect Spencer Arrighetti was rocked in his MLB debut, allowing seven runs on seven hits and three walks over three innings. He struck out three batters.
Rangers 6, Athletics 2
Cody Bradford improved to 3-0 after allowing an unearned run across 6 2/3 innings. He surrendered five hits and a walk, while striking out seven.
Ross Stripling is now 0-3 this season after allowing six runs on 11 hits and three walks across six innings. He struck out five batters along the way. His 5.50 ERA isn’t nearly as bad as it could be for a pitcher with an 0-3 record.
