10-Team PPR Fantasy Football Mock Draft from 5th Position | Bijan Robinson, Davante Adams, Sam LaPorta, Joe Mixon, Brock Purdy and More
Morgan conducts his second fantasy football draft of the year, selecting fifth in a 10-team standard setup.
It’s time for another fantasy football mock draft.
After selecting from the 10th position in a 10-team PPR setup for my first mock, I decided to draft from the fifth slot in my second mock. All the settings were the same for this mock: one QB, two RB, two WR, one TE, one RB/WR/TE and seven bench slots, with no defense/special teams or kickers.

Round 1 - Bijan Robinson
After taking a receiver in the first round of my last mock draft, I decided to go with a top RB here. Robinson has a ton of hype this season, and even though it’s a lot to live up to, I believe Robinson will deliver for his fantasy owners.
Round 2 - Davante Adams
After taking a bit of a risk on Robinson in round one, I wanted a proven fantasy receiver in round two. I thought about Marvin Harrison Jr. and Drake London, but decided on Adams, even though his quarterback situation isn’t the greatest. Adams still should put up great fantasy totals this season.
Round 3 - Sam LaPorta
I was hoping for another running back or wide receiver here, but didn’t like the value of anyone in particular. I thought about taking one of the top quarterbacks too, but in the end decided on LaPorta instead. The fantasy TE position is hard to get right if you don’t get one of the studs, so I got one and now don’t have to worry about the position going forward.
Round 4 - Jaylen Waddle
I was targeting a receiver in round four and chose Waddle over Cooper Kupp. Both are No. 2 receivers for their team, but Waddle still should be growing as a player, while Kupp is on the back nine of his career.
Round 5 - Joe Mixon
The reason I was OK not landing a running back after round one was because I knew I could grab a solid starter near this round. Mixon is on an offense with a ton of playmakers, which I think helps open up lanes in the running game and allows Mixon to enjoy a good fantasy season.
Round 6 - David Montgomery
I backed up my RB choice in round five with another in round 6. I love the value Montgomery provides here and think he’d likely be in my starting lineup more often than not. He’s good insurance in case Mixon doesn’t live up to my expectations of him in Houston.
Round 7 - Najee Harris
Why not grab another back here in round seven? You really can never have too many backs, and to get another team’s top option is just a bonus. If all my backs perform well and stay healthy, I have plenty of trade bait to work with.
Round 8 - Jayden Reed
Back to the wide receiver room finally, and I took a swing on Reed. There were other options, mainly Chris Godwin, but I preferred Reed because he’s got a chance to be Green Bay’s No. 1 wideout.
Round 9 - Xavier Worthy
I’m really liking my team so far, so I decided to take a swing on some potential breakout players, the first being Worthy. Any Kansas City receiver can go off with Patrick Mahomes throwing them the ball, and there’s a chance Worthy becomes the team’s No. 1 option this season, so why not take a chance this late in a draft?
Round 10 - Brock Purdy
I finally have my quarterback, but it doesn’t really feel like I missed out after getting Purdy. Even if Brandon Aiyuk gets traded, I see Purdy having another big fantasy season. He’s got the potential to be a top-five fantasy QB, but should pretty safely be in the top 10 (in my opinion), so I like the value here.
Round 11 - Tyjae Spears
Another dart throw here, but why not try in round 11? Spears could end up being the Titans’ No. 1 back this season, and would become trade bait for me if he does.
Round 12 - Courtland Sutton
Another likely WR1 for an NFL team here in round 12. This has draft steal written all over it. There’s not much risk involved with a pick this late, while the upside is fantastic.
Round 13 - Jayden Daniels
I wanted a backup for Purdy in case things went haywire with Aiyuk out of town possibly. Daniels offers good value because he can also provide some rushing stats. Again, not much risk with the pick, but plenty of upside.
Round 14 - Xavier Legette
One last lottery ticket for the final round. Diontae Johnson is the likely No. 1 receiver in Carolina, but you never know if Legette could instantly gel with Bryce Young. If Legette doesn’t offer much fantasy value, I could simply use his roster spot as a streaming one.
