It’s time for the final fantasy football story in a series where we took a look at each NFL team’s top dynasty players going into this season.

Here’s a look back at the divisions/teams we’ve already covered: AFC - East, West, North, South; NFC - North, West, East. That leaves just the NFC South.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

We’ll start things off with the Buccaneers and quarterback Baker Mayfield.

I most often see him ranked around 20th on dynasty lists, and a lot of that has to do with him being 29 years old. The 2023 season was pretty easily his best season ever, and he showed he could be a valuable fantasy asset in some deeper formats. In one-QB dynasties, he’s a backup option, and could be streamed several weeks depending on your top QB. If you aren’t contending, I’d try to flip Mayfield for something that could help you in the future, because he’s probably got less than five years left as a starter.

The Bucs have two solid dynasty backs, beginning with starter Rachaad White.

White is 25 years old and a top-10 dynasty option to most people. He made a leap up after a pretty good 2023 campaign, but the team also drafted another back this offseason, so his long-term status is a bit unknown. I’d prefer to sell high with White, but also wouldn’t mind just utilizing him until he fizzles out, because he isn’t likely to net you a great return.

Bucky Irving is the rookie back the team selected in the 2024 draft. He’s 22 years old and could very well be the team’s No. 1 back in the future. It might take an injury to White to get Irving on the field a bunch as a rookie, but a solid rookie season would shoot Irving way up dynasty lists going into 2025. He’s worth rostering this season as the team’s top backup and because of the unknown of who the team’s starter might be in the coming seasons.

Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are still the team’s top dynasty receivers, but rookie Jalen McMillan also is a solid long-term option.

Evans is still a borderline top-30 dynasty option despite being 31 years old. He just continues to churn out seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards, and scored a bunch of touchdowns last season. He should have a couple more big seasons left in him, but also should only be rostered by contending teams, or otherwise sold while he’s got some good value left.

Godwin is 28 years old, but as the team’s No. 2 option, usually ranks closer to 40 than 30. He also has reached 1,000 yards several times, but lacks the touchdown grabs Evans has. He’s a good flex option, but is probably best rostered on contending teams.

McMillan could be the guy who eventually replaces Evans as the team’s top wideout - it’s also possible he cuts into Godwin’s production a bit. As a third-round pick, he needs to be stashed on the bench in just about every dynasty setup.

Cade Otton is the top tight end in Tampa and just 25 years old, but hasn’t produced consistently enough to rank inside the top 20 dynasty TEs for most people. If McMillan isn’t an instant success, Otton could also be the team’s third-best pass catcher for the next season. Right now though, Otton is just a depth option in most dynasty setups.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints have a few noteworthy dynasty pieces.

Derek Carr is not one of them, because he’s 33 years old, and isn’t performing to a level where he needs to still be rostered. He’s a streaming option or a fill-in guy if your top QB goes down, but otherwise I’d stay away from Carr.

Spencer Rattler is a young QB on the roster who is an intriguing dynasty asset. In the right formats, stashing Rattler is a pretty good idea, and he could make a fantasy impact as soon as this season if Carr struggles.

Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller are the two best dynasty options out of the Saints’ backfield.

Kamara is a PPR legend and still has a top-30 ranking for most even though he’s 29 years old. I think he’s got a couple more seasons in him because he’s not a huge running threat (like you think of when you hear “running back”).

I thought Miller might be the guy to take some of the rushing workload off Kamara, but he’s battled injuries and hasn’t done a whole lot yet. He’s just 22 years old though, and if he can stay on the field and produce a bit, will shoot up dynasty rankings.

Chris Olave is the top dynasty wideout in New Orleans. He’s the team’s clear No. 1 option and is just 24 years old. He’s a borderline top-10 option for most, and could even go up more if the Saints find a better quarterback than Carr.

Rashid Shaheed has a little value as a 26-year-old, but he’s more of a boom-or-bust fantasy guy than a weekly contributor, so he’s best utilized as a depth guy.

I like A.T. Perry and think he could shoot up dynasty rankings with a big season. He’s 24 years old and will be given a chance to start and produce regularly. Opposite Olave, Perry should be able to carve out a nice fantasy role and maybe be an option for several years to come.

There’s really no good dynasty tight ends in New Orleans. Taysom Hill has value because of his versatility, but he’s also 34 years old, so he probably only has a couple more decent seasons in him. Juwan Johnson is a backup option depending on your dynasty settings, but he’s already 27.

Atlanta Falcons

Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix Jr. are top-30 dynasty quarterbacks for most people.

Cousins is coming off a major injury, but he looked good last season before the injury, so he’s got at least a couple solid seasons in him I think. He’s 36 though, so only contenders should roster him.

Penix is the long-term starting option there, but at 24 years old, he landed in a tough spot behind Cousins. Maybe the Cousins’ experiment only lasts a season or two, but right now, you’d be hoping Penix would be getting a taste of NFL action, not sitting the bench for a couple seasons.

Bijan Robinson is the top dynasty back for most people. He’s just 22 years old, should be given a workhorse role in his second season and now has some decent quarterbacks alongside him. It’ll cost you an early pick, but Robinson should be a fantasy stud for several seasons, so I’m fine taking him on.

Tyler Allgeier showed some good things last year, but will move to more of a true backup role now. He’s 24, and a backup to a workhorse, so he’s got dynasty value, but not much unless Robinson isn’t on the field. Rookie Jase McClellan could play Allgeier off the team in a couple seasons with decent play.

Drake London is the top Atlanta dynasty wideout. He’s 23 and serves as the team’s No. 1 wideout. Now that he’s got some better quarterbacks throwing to him, his dynasty value has risen. He hasn’t impressed me much yet, and there won’t be any excuses left if he underperforms again this season.

Darnell Mooney has a little dynasty value left, but is also 26 and hasn’t accomplished much lately. I’d expect the Falcons to draft some wideouts in the near future. Rondale Moore is another option as a 24-year-old, but is out for the entire season, so that’s a big blow to his possible dynasty value for the long haul.

Tight end Kyle Pitts is another younger player who can finally excel with a decent quarterback on the team now. He’s just 23 years old, and still is a top-five dynasty TE to most despite not living up to expectations yet. Hopefully this season is the start of several years of big fantasy numbers for Pitts.

Carolina Panthers

Carolina has several intriguing young players, but none are great dynasty assets yet.

Quarterback Bryce Young is usually ranked around 20 despite having a rough rookie season. He’s got a better team around him, and with a year of experience, Young should perform better this season. If you wanted to buy low on Young, now would be the time to do it.

Jonathon Brooks is the top dynasty back the Panthers have. He’s a top-15 option for most and is just 21 years old. Unfortunately, he’s going to miss the start of the season, and we might not truly see him unleashed until 2025, but Brooks is definitely a player to roster in dynasties.

Chuba Hubbard has some value as a 25-year-old, but mostly holds value because he might start and be RB1 for Carolina for several games this season. He’s not a great long-term option, but he’s got enough value to roster and play this season at least.

Diontae Johnson and Xavier Legette are two good dynasty wideout options who typically rank between 40-50.

Johnson should be the go-to wideout this season, and is just 28. I’d probably try to wait until he produces a few big games, then sell him while his value is high, because I don’t see him as a long-term asset.

Legette is the Carolina receiver I’d target. A good rookie season could push him into the top 20 going into 2025. He should at least be stashed on dynasty benches this season.

Adam Thielen is a depth option in deeper leagues as a 34-year-old. Jonathan Mingo has some decent dynasty value as a former top pick and 23-year-old. He could fly up rankings with a decent second season.

Ja'Tavion Sanders is a dynasty option at tight end. He’s a 21-year-old rookie, but looks buried on the depth chart so far. I’d stash and hold him in deeper leagues to see if he could be a potential long-term option.
