Dynasty Players Rebuilding Owners Should Consider Moving - NFC South Edition | Darnell Mooney, Baker Mayfield, Alvin Kamara, Chuba Hubbard and More
Identifying some dynasty players who should maybe be moved by rebuilding teams.
It’s time to continue a fantasy football series where I identify players that rebuilding dynasty owners should consider moving.
We covered the North (NFC and AFC) and East divisions (NFC and AFC) already and now will talk about the NFC South.

Atlanta Falcons
There’s a couple Falcons who rebuilding dynasty owners should consider moving, led by Kirk Cousins.
The 36-year-old quarterback has done some nice things this season, but also only has a couple years left in him. He’s not a top-end fantasy option, but he has some value in deeper leagues especially.
Target some future draft picks or another young player who can help you out going forward. You could also add to Cousins and attempt to land one of the younger QBs in the league.
Darnell Mooney is another trade option. He’s 27 and has played better than a lot of people expected this season.
He’s signed with Atlanta for the next three seasons, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if the team continues to bring in more pass catchers, whether that be through the draft or via trade. Mooney could be knocked down the pecking order the longer he stays in Atlanta.
Mooney won’t net you a big return, but he’s played well enough to get a couple future assets. I’d rather get younger than hope Mooney is still playing somewhat well in two or three seasons.
Ray-Ray McCloud is another wideout who could be traded.
He’s not going to go for as much as Mooney with less production and being a year older, but in deeper dynasties, he’s not a half bad option - at least as a depth piece. I’d much rather take a future pick or younger player than keep McCloud on my roster.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs have four players I’d try to trade away.
Baker Mayfield is one of them. He’s 29 years old and found a ton of success in Tampa Bay, and his strong play is what I’d try to take advantage of.
He’s built up some good trade value and should net you some future assets. I do think Mayfield could remain a good fantasy option for several seasons, but we also don’t have a ton of success to go off of. He could just as easily become an average or worse fantasy QB and lose his starting job in a couple seasons.
Take advantage of his strong play so far and acquire some future help, whether that be a younger QB, or some future draft picks.
Rachaad White is another player I’d want to trade. He’s just 25 years old, but looked like he was about to be forced out of Tampa Bay before injuries made him super relevant again.
White has been outplayed by Bucky Irving on the ground, but still has a good amount of fantasy value as a pass catcher. I’m thinking he won’t serve as a team’s No. 1 workhorse back ever again, and would try to bail now before he loses more fantasy value.
A contending dynasty team wouldn’t mind taking him on for this season, and only being 25, you should get a pretty solid return for White. Maybe a couple future draft picks, or a young player or two would do the trick.
Chris Godwin and Mike Evans are two wide receivers I’d be looking to trade.
Godwin is out for the season, so that hurts his trade value a good deal. He’s also 28 years old, so he’s only probably got a couple big seasons left in him. Godwin was great this season before suffering his injury, and I think a lot of dynasty owners would love to take him on in hopes he can return to that level of play next season.
With trading Godwin, it wouldn’t necessarily have to be to a contending team, since he isn’t going to help this season. A team hoping to compete for a title next season would definitely like adding Godwin just as much as a contending team this season would. Throw Godwin’s name on the trade block and see what offers float in.
Evans is also hurt right now, but is expected back in a couple weeks. He hasn’t played super well this season, but instead of waiting to see if he can turn things around, I’d like to move him now.
Evans has enough trade value still to net you a couple future assets. If you can wait until he returns, or is ready to come back before trading him, I’d prefer that because his trade value will rise a little.
New Orleans Saints
There’s also four players on the New Orleans roster who could be moved.
Alvin Kamara easily has the most value of the four players. He’s 29 years old, but also isn’t the typical bruising running back, so his shelf life might be another year or two past the typical RB.
He’s got more trade value in PPR leagues and should net you a really good return. Kamara still has a couple big seasons in him, and I’d think you could get a nice package of picks/younger players in return.
Just make sure you are getting a great return for him. He’s been one of the better fantasy players this season, so it’s not like you are trading him away to get an aging player off your roster. Moving Kamara should speed up your rebuild a good deal.
Taysom Hill is a unique trade option because he can do it all on the field. He’s got good fantasy value in deeper leagues, even if he’s 34 years old.
He can be plugged into lineups and provide fantasy points as a passer, runner and pass catcher. Contending teams would love that kind of player on their team.
Hill won’t get a big return for you, but getting even one future pick or young player in return is better than letting him just run out of fantasy value on your roster.
Derek Carr is nearly ready to return, and is another QB I’d look to move. He’s 33 years old and can provide depth or be a streaming option in deeper dynasty setups.
Coming off his injury and with a bit more uncertain future, Carr won’t net you a big return, but you might be able to land some draft picks. You could also add another player to Carr to go after a younger quarterback, which sets you up better for the future.
Juwan Johnson is the final Saint I’d look to trade. He’s 28 years old.
Johnson is yet another deep dynasty trade option, but in the right format, there’s a little value to cash in on there. Get anything you can for Johnson, because getting younger is again better than having an aging, average fantasy option on your roster.
Carolina Panthers
There’s also four players in Carolina who I’d try to move.
Running backs Chuba Hubbard and Miles Sanders are both on my list.
Sanders has been the backup to Hubbard, but might drop to RB3 when Jonathon Brooks is ready to go. Getting anything in return for Sanders is good, and he’d only be a trade option in the deepest of dynasties.
Hubbard has been good this season while serving as RB1 for Carolina. That could change as early as this week if Brooks is ready to go. Hubbard is also 25 and could get another chance with a different team moving forward, so there’s some decent value awaiting if you decide to move him.
If a contending team had Brooks, that’s who I’d try to trade Hubbard to - it’s beneficial to them because then they have the team’s No. 1 back no matter what.
I think you could get a couple picks or a young offensive skill position player for Hubbard. Just don’t sell him short, because Hubbard has been good this season and still has value now and for the next several seasons.
Andy Dalton could also be moved in the right leagues. He’s not the starter anymore, but that could change again if Bryce Young continues to struggle. Again, trading him to the owner who rosters Young is the route I’d try to take.
Getting anything for Dalton is the priority here.
Lastly, Adam Thielen should be moved by rebuilding dynasty teams. He’s nearing a return from injury and could end up leading the team’s wideouts now that Diontae Johnson has been traded.
I’d want to wait for Thielen to play a game to see if he can build a little more trade value, but a contending team in a deeper dynasty probably wouldn’t mind paying a bit for the veteran wideout. Throw his name out there and see what trickles in.
