Yoendrys Gomez has quickly emerged as the primary ninth-inning option for the third-place Twins (35-40), who enter today on a three-game winning streak. Over his last 30 days, the right-handed reliever has dominated with a 2.25 ERA and 20 strikeouts across 12.0 innings. Following his trade from Tampa Bay in May, he has steadily climbed the bullpen hierarchy to claim the undisputed closer role.
