Top Pitchers
Chicago Cubs’ Justin Steele earned his first win of the season after working all nine innings during his weekend start. He allowed a run on two hits and two walks, while striking out seven batters.
Los Angeles Angels’ Tyler Anderson was the only pitcher to go eight innings this weekend. He earned a win after not allowing a run on three hits - Anderson struck out 10 and walked none.
Texas Rangers’ Nathan Eovaldi earned a win after working seven innings. He gave up two runs on four hits, while striking out five and walking none.
Colorado Rockies’ Kyle Freeland took a no decision after working seven strong innings. He surrendered two runs (one earned) on seven hits and a walk, while striking out five.

Cincinnati Reds’ Hunter Greene worked seven scoreless innings, but didn’t get a decision. He gave up three hits and two walks, while striking out seven.
Detroit Tigers’ Tarik Skubal earned a win after allowing a run on three hits over seven frames. He struck out 13 batters and walked none.
Royals’ Brady Singer earned a win after allowing a run on six hits and two walks in seven innings of work. He struck out seven batters along the way.
Pittsburgh Pirates’ Paul Skenes picked up a victory after also pitching seven innings. He allowed two runs on four hits and two walks, while striking out eight.
Rangers’ Michael Lorenzen and Andrew Heaney each had scoreless outings this weekend.
Lorenzen got a win after allowing a hit and five walks over five innings. He struck out four batters.
Heaney tossed 5 1/3 innings but didn’t get a decision. He gave up three hits, two walks and also hit a batter, but struck out seven to work out of trouble.
New York Mets’ Sean Manaea tossed six scoreless innings, but didn’t earn a decision. He allowed two hits and three walks, while striking out six.
Atlanta Braves’ Reynaldo Lopez picked up a win after working six scoreless innings. He gave up two hits and three walks, while striking out six batters.
Chicago Cubs’ Hayden Wesneski tossed 6 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up a win. He allowed one hit and one walk, while striking out a pair.
Pirates’ Luis L. Ortiz took a no decision despite firing six scoreless frames. He allowed four hits, while striking out five and walking none.
Toronto Blue Jays’ Yariel Rodriguez got a win after working six scoreless innings. He gave up one hit and two walks, while striking out six batters.
Seattle Mariners’ Luis Castillo got a win after allowing a run on two hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out eight batters.
Blue Jays’ Kevin Gausman and Jose Berrios each struck out 10 batters in their starts.
Gausman took the loss after allowing two runs on six hits and two walks in six innings. Berrios had a no decision after allowing four runs on seven hits, a walk and a hit batter in six frames.
Red Sox’s Kenley Jansen, Baltimore Orioles’ Craig Kimbrel, Rangers’ Kirby Yates and Cleveland Guardians’ Emmanuel Clase all earned two saves this weekend.
Jansen allowed one hit over two innings, while striking out a batter. Kimbrel also allowed a hit in two innings, but struck out four. Yates retired all six batters he faced, striking out two of them. Clase allowed a run on a hit and a walk in his two innings - he failed to record a strikeout.
