Top Hitters
Chicago Cubs’ Isaac Paredes delivered four hits on Wednesday. He finished with four total bases, a run scored and a stolen base.
Cleveland Guardians’ Jose Ramirez, Baltimore Orioles’ Cedric Mullins and Gunnar Henderson, Philadelphia Phillies’ Nick Castellanos and Bryson Stott, Toronto Blue Jays’ Alejandro Kirk and Jonatan Clase, Detroit Tigers’ Parker Meadows all had three hits.
Ramirez homered and finished with nine total bases. He drove in three runs and scored twice.
Castellanos homered and tallied seven total bases. He drove in a run and scored three times.
Clase also homered, while totaling six total bases. He drove in two runs, walked once and scored twice.
Meadows had six total bases, including a home run. He drove in a run and scored twice.
Stott had four total bases on the day. He drove in two runs, stole a base and scored twice.
Kirk also finished with four total bases. He drove in three runs and scored one time.
Mullins had four total bases among his three knocks. He also walked, stole two bases and scored three runs.
Henderson singled for all three of his hits. He drove in two runs and also scored twice.
Cubs’ Nico Hoerner homered two times on Wednesday. He drove in four runs and scored twice.
Seattle Mariners’ Victor Robles had a double and walk on his way to scoring three runs. He also drove in two runs and stole a base.
Detroit’s Spencer Torkelson homered amongst his two hits and drove in three runs. He scored two runs in total.
New York Yankees’ Juan Soto homered, drove in three runs and had two total hits as well. He also walked once and scored two runs.
Yankees’ Aaron Judge homered amongst his two hits and drove in three runs. He walked once and finished with one run scored.
Miami Marlins’ Jake Burger homered, drove in three runs and tallied two total hits. He scored once in the contest.
Arizona Diamondbacks’ Pavin Smith had just one at-bat, but delivered a three-run homer.
Baltimore’s Colton Cowser drove in three runs on two hits. He also walked, stole a base and scored once.
Minnesota Twins’ Carlos Santana drove in three runs on one hit. Philadelphia’s Brandon Marsh finished with the same statline.
Los Angeles Angels’ Matt Thaiss walked three times on Wednesday. He went on to score one run.

Top Starting Pitchers
Houston’s Yusei Kikuchi took a loss after allowing two unearned runs across six innings. He allowed four hits and one walk, while striking out eight.
Arizona’s Zac Gallen struck out 11 over six innings and got the win. He allowed a run on two hits and two walks.
St. Louis’ Erick Fedde was also a winner after working seven innings. He gave up a run on six hits and one walk, while punching out 10. He was at just 87 pitches when he was pulled from the game.
Pittsburgh Pirates’ Luis L. Ortiz worked seven innings to grab a win. He allowed a run on four hits and one walk, while striking out five.
Seattle’s George Kirby got a win after striking out six over six innings. He gave up a run on four hits and one walk.
Toronto’s Kevin Gausman earned the victory after pitching six innings. He allowed a run on four hits and three walks, while also striking out three.
Washington Nationals DJ Herz took a tough loss after working five innings and allowing just one run. He gave up three hits and three walks, while punching out three.
Miami’s Edward Cabrera gave up three runs (one earned) over five innings and took a no decision. He allowed four hits and one walk, while striking out five batters.
Milwaukee’s Freddy Peralta took the loss after giving up two runs on two hits and two walks over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out seven batters.

White Sox’s Michael Soroka struck out five batters over 2 1/3 scoreless innings out of the bullpen. He allowed a hit and a walk.
Oakland Athletics’ Hogan Harris tossed two scoreless innings, allowing just one walk along the way. He struck out five batters as well.
Oakland’s Joe Boyle struck out five over three scoreless frames. He worked around two hits and two walks.
Kansas City Royals’ Daniel Lynch IV got a win after working 2 2/3 scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and one walk, while striking out a pair.
Texas’ Matt Festa also was a winner out of the pen. He allowed two hits, but no walks or runs over 2 1/3 innings, while striking out two.
Minnesota’s Louie Varland struck out four batters over 2 1/3 scoreless frames. He worked around three hits, and did not allow a walk.
Detroit’s Sean Guenther worked two perfect innings and got a win. He struck out half of the six batters he faced.
Pittsburgh’s Aroldis Chapman, Dodgers’ Michael Kopech, St. Louis’ Ryan Helsley, Kansas City’s Lucas Erceg, Baltimore’s Keegan Akin and Cleveland’s Emmanuel Clase all earned saves.
Chapman allowed a hit in his inning of work, but faced the minimum three batters. He struck out one as well.
Kopech had a strikeout in his scoreless inning of work. He worked around a walk.
Helsley got the final two outs for his save, but he only faced one batter.
Erceg struck out one batter in his 1-2-3 inning.
Akin recorded the final two outs to pick up the save.
Clase did not allow a run despite giving up a hit and two walks. He struck out one batter.
