Week 2 Fantasy Football Streaming Options: Derek Carr, Zack Moss, and More!
While we're still a few weeks away from bye weeks, everyone has at least one hole in their fantasy football roster due to injuries (maybe you drafted Aaron Rodgers), underperformance (Cam Akers, anyone?), or just bad drafting (not you, of course). However, holes can be filled and there are almost always good streaming options. It’s just a matter of finding them.
I'll be here every week trying to unearth the best streaming options that you can likely find on waivers and plug into your starting lineup for that week. There are some good ones out there for Week 2, so let's dig in!

Quarterback
Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints
Carr had a nice start to his Saints tenure last week and throw for over 300 yards with a touchdown against a very good Titans defense. Things get a little easier for him this week as the Saints head to Carolina to take on a Panthers squad that gave up 24 points to a Desmond Ridder-led offense. While Carr is ranked as a QB2 in most rankings this week, he has a good chance to finish the week as a top-10 quarterback. I've got him ranked ahead of guys like Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson for this week.
Mac Jones, New England Patriots
This won't last, but Jones currently has the second-most fantasy points on the year after throwing for over 300 yards with three touchdowns against the Eagles last week. Things get a little (not a lot) easier this week as the Dolphins come to town. Miami has a good defense, but their line isn't anything close to what the Eagles have so Jones should theoretically have more time to throw. He'll also (likely) get top receiver DeVante Parker back this week, so his arrow is surprisingly pointing up.

Running Back
Zack Moss, Indianapolis Colts
Deon Jackson still exists, but he looked pretty awful last week as he carried the ball 13 times for 14 total yards (yikes). Moss is healthy heading into Week 2 after missing last week's game against Jacksonville and should get a shot at being the Colts' lead back this week. Moss looked good toward the end of last year filling in for Jonathan Taylor, so he's definitely worth a flier to see if he can continue that success filling in for Taylor again this week (and potentially beyond).
Gus Edwards, Baltimore Ravens
This will come down to Edwards vs. Justice Hill, and I'm going with Edwards. Hill will be part of the mix in Baltimore as they try to piece things together after losing J.K. Dobbins, but Edwards is the better player and the more likely to receive goal line carries. I'm not telling you Edwards will be a great option this week (espeically with a tough matchup against the Bengals), but he's worth a shot as a goal line carry or two could get him to 10-plus fantasy points pretty quickly.
Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans
I'm not panicking about Derrick Henry like I've seen many do after he was out-snapped by Spears last week, but we can't ignore what happened either. Spears has a bit of a ceiling due to Henry's presence, but he's also a big play waiting to happen. While he's much more of a flex play in deeper leagues, Spears is firmly on the fantasy radar and is a sneaky Week 2 start.

Wide Receiver
Michael Gallup, Dallas Cowboys
Brandin Cooks is looking iffy (maybe even doubtful) for this week's game against the Jets, so Gallup could jump into a very nice spot. Sauce Gardner will likely be draped all over CeeDee Lamb the entire game, so that will open up a bunch of targets for the Cowboys' other receivers -- and Gallup will be the next man up if Cooks is unable to go this week. He's more of a flex play/WR3, but Gallup should see five-plus targets this week (and maybe closer to double-digits if Cooks sits).
Kendrick Bourne, New England Patriots
I'm not as high on Bourne if Parker plays, but he was easily the Patriots' best receiver last week and doubled his touchdown total from last year in one game. He (along with Hunter Henry) has the best rapport with Mac Jones, and JuJu Smith-Schuster was surprisingly on the bench for much of the game last week. Bourne is a good play if Parker plays. He's a great play (read: WR2 range) if Parker sits.
Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs
Rice is a better play if Travis Kelce sits again this week, but I still think he's worth a look even if Kelce plays. Both Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore had a case of the dropsies last week, while Rice was sure-handed and hauled in a touchdown pass in his first NFL game. The Chiefs receiver room is crowded, but there isn't anything close to an alpha there. While Rice is a tad risky, he has a ton of upside if he's able to continue to build trust with Patrick Mahomes.

Tight End
Hayden Hurst, Carolina Panthers
Every young quarterback needs a security blanket, and Hurst is shaping up to be Bryce Young's. With Adam Thielen looking like an old man and Jonathan Mingo only playing his second NFL game this week, Hurst has an opportunity to continue to build trust with Young after leading the Panthers in targets last week (and scoring a touchdown). The Saints are really good against tight ends, but Hurst should see enough targets this week to counter that.
Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans
Schultz had a really disappointing Week 1, but I don't want to throw him into the scrap heap after just one week. While he saw less than a 10 percent target share against the Ravens, the Colts defensive coordinator Gus Bradley has perenially allowed his defenses to give up production to tight ends. This is a bit of a risk due to the relative ineptitude of the Texans' offse, but I think it's worth taking a shot due to the matchup.
