Week 10 Fantasy Football RB and WR Droppables: Should you drop D'Onta Foreman, Darrell Henderson, and Michael Thomas?

Nick Roberts Nov 7th 12:11 PM EST.

We're always looking to make moves in fantasy football, and this is going to be a weekly spot where we look at some of the most widely-dropped players across fantasy leagues and decide whether you should (or shouldn’t) cut bait with them – due to either underperformance, injury, or otherwise.

We covered waiver adds already, but in order to pick up someone, you have to drop someone. And that isn’t a decision you should take lightly. We’ve all made drops we’ve come to regret.

Let’s take a look at some of the most dropped running backs and wide receivers for Week 10 and decide if they’re actually drop-worthy.

As always, check out the fantasy assistant for personalized waiver wire recommendations and team analysis. Make moves based on projections, strengths and weaknesses, waiver alerts, and lots more.

Week 10 Fantasy Football Droppables

D'Onta Foreman, RB, Chicago Bears

We've come a long way from Week 7 when Foreman was winning fantasy matchups for a lot of people. Since then, the journeyman has put up just under 13 total fantasy points in two games. Is it time to cut bait? I think we're close, but not quite there as he still carried the ball 20 times in Week 9. While Khalil Herbert is getting closer to a return, Foreman is still seeing enough volume to stay fantasy-relevant for now. While he doesn't have a high floor due to his lack of involvement in the Bears' passing attack, you still can't just cut a guy who is touching the ball 20 times a game. At least not yet.

Verdict: Hold

Darrell Henderson, RB, Los Angeles Rams

Henderson was another fun Week 7 story, but the wheels have come off a bit since then as he's fallen into a timeshare with Royce Freeman. While Henderson still has some fantasy relevance as he's touched the ball at least 12 times in all three of his games with the Rams this season, he's seen his touches progressively decrease each week and is likely to move to more of a third-down back role once Kyren Williams returns from injury (which should happen soon). I wouldn't just outright cut him if you don't have a good reason, but I also wouldn't cling to Henderson if you have someone you want to pick up.

Verdict: Drop

AJ Dillon, RB, Green Bay Packers

The Packers' skill players have been disappointing this season, and Dillon is definitely part of that group. His upside is limited due to his timeshare with Aaron Jones and he sits at RB43 on the season currently. If Jones didn't exist, Dillon would be a weekly must-start RB2, but he's only going to see 10-12 carries a week as part of the current setup in Green Bay and has scored just once all year. Again, I wouldn't drop him just to drop him, but I think Dillon is expendable if you're trying to add someone and can't figure out who to drop.

Verdict: Drop

Michael Thomas, WR, New Orleans Saints

It seems like a lifetime ago that Thomas was one of the best fantasy receivers out there. Sadly, the latest incarnation of Thomas is just WR45 on the year and is droppable if you're looking to make moves and need someone to drop. He's still seeing 6-8 targets per game (outside of this past week where he saw just one), but the Saints have a lot of mouths to feed and haven't made Thomas a priority. He's only scored once all season and hasn't put up more than 68 receiving yards in a game all year. While I would try to hold him if you can, Thomas is no more than a borderline WR3/flex play at this point and isn't worth clinging to.

Verdict: Drop

Elijah Moore, WR, Cleveland Browns

I really wanted Moore to break out in Cleveland, but it's just not happening and I think it's time to move on if you need a roster spot. After consistently seeing seven or so targets per game for the first seven weeks of the year, Moore has seen just seven total targets over his past two games and hasn't put up double-digit fantasy points since Week 3. He's yet to find the end zone all year and hasn't topped 59 receiving yards in a game all season either. You can feel free to move on from Moore as he's currently WR63 on the year.

Verdict: Drop
