Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups for Shallow Leagues (10 and 12 Teams)
TE Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens
Mark Andrews will miss the remainder of the season, and that puts Likely into a starting role. The Ravens' offense has been great this season, Lamar Jackson loves to get his TEs involved in the passing game, and Likely is talented enough to be a TE1 with the increased snaps and targets that he is about to receive. Whether you roster Andrews or not, this is a priority add at TE if you don’t have one you trust. 15-20% of your remaining budget is acceptable if you don’t have a top TE already.
WR Rondale Moore/Greg Dortch, Arizona Cardinals
Moore only saw one target in Week 11, yet he had the biggest offensive play of the game for the Cardinals. He caught a 48-yard TD pass from Kyler Murray on the opening possession of the game and is no doubt a big-play threat. With Murray back and healthy at QB, he is worthy of an add for between 6-8% of your remaining budget. Meanwhile, Dortch saw a team-high eight targets, catching six of them for 76 yards. If he continues to see that type of target share, he will be valuable in PPR formats. Look to spend 7-10% of your remaining budget on him.
WR Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers
He was on my list last week after an 84-yard performance in Week 10 and an 83-yard performance in Week 8. In Week 11, he tied for the team lead in targets, racking up 46 yards in the air but also racking up 46 yards on the ground on three carries, including a 32-yard rushing TD. He has a solid matchup next week against the Lions and is worth 9-12% of your remaining FAAB.
TE Michael Mayer, Las Vegas Raiders
Raiders QB Aidan O’Connell is throwing the football more often and more effectively than Jimmy Garoppolo did at any point this season. This has led to Davante Adams excelling once again and rookie TE Michael Mayer having his second-best game of the season in Week 11. His matchup in Week 11 isn’t ideal, but with the TE position being so volatile, anytime a young player shows signs of potential it becomes noteworthy. You should look to add Mayer this week, yet you should be careful in your spending. Anywhere from 5-7% of your remaining FAAB is fine.
Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups for Deep Leagues (14 and 16 Teams)
WR Darius Slayton, New York Giants
It might have just been the matchup with a bad Commanders team that led to his huge day, and that’s why you shouldn’t spend big on Slayton. Still, his solid Week 11 performance can’t be ignored. He saw a team-high in targets and led the team with 82 receiving yards. He caught one of three TD passes from Tommy DeVito, who also had his best game since taking over for Daniel Jones. It’s typical for a young quarterback to rely on his veteran pass catchers, so we should expect to see Slayton being a top target in the passing game. You will want to monitor Slayton's arm injury before making a claim on him, but if he is healthy enough to go you can spend up to 5% of your remaining FAAB on Slayton this week.
WR Elijah Moore, Cleveland Browns
Without Deshaun Watson at QB, Moore was considered to be a non-factor in fantasy moving forward. That simply wasn’t the case in Week 11, and his involvement and performance were both very encouraging as he set a season-high in receiving yards and had his second-best game in terms of catches. Dorian Thompson-Robinson targeted him seven times, which led to Moore being the leader in yards for the Browns. Moore should be added in any deep format, and he’s worth up to 15% of your remaining budget.
WR Robert Woods, Houston Texans
Woods didn’t play for four weeks, and in his return in Week 10 he made just one catch for 15 yards. He’s sitting on waiver wires because of it, and he should be picked up once again after seeing eight targets in Week 11. Although Tank Dell and Nico Collins are the top WR targets for CJ Stroud, Woods is a veteran that Stroud can rely on and, in PPR formats, Woods is worthy of flex consideration. You can get him for between 4% and 6% of your remaining FAAB.
