Final Fantasy Football Injury Report for Week 9: Drake Maye, Tony Pollard, Puka Nacua, Noah Fant and More
A roundup of all the key injuries and the latest updates for Week 9.
Quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (Knee)
Jackson has made it clear that he will be good to go for Week 9. However, he has not been removed from the injury report. His return to practice on Friday does point to him being able to play on Sunday though.
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (Groin)
Love is looking like a true game-time decision. With that said, this week has gone as well as it could have and he looks to be on the right side of questionable as of now. Groin injuries can be tricky and are a high re-injury risk.
Drake Maye, New England Patriots (Concussion)
There is still some hope that Maye will be able to clear the concussion protocol by Sunday, but the closer we get, the more unlikely it looks. Odds are Jacoby Brissett will be out there on Sunday.
Will Levis, Tennessee Titans (Shoulder)
Levis is once again considered questionable this week. Whether he plays or not will make very little difference for the Titans or fantasy owners.
Running Backs
Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans (Foot)
If Pollard is able to go, he will once again have the backfield to himself with Tyjae Spears already ruled out. However, it sounds like there is a real chance he can't play. That would leave Julius Chestnut as the lead back in Tennessee.
Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars (Hamstring)
Etienne will be a game-time decision this week and it sounds like Tank Bigsby is in the same boat. If neither back can play, D'Ernest Johnson could be an interesting starting option for running back desperate teams.
Brian Robinson Jr., Washington Commanders (Hamstring)
Robinson is once again questionable this week but is tentatively expected to suit up. If he can't go, Austin Ekeler would be cast into a heavy workload.
Tyrone Tracy Jr., New York Giants (Concussion)
Somewhat shockingly, Tracy has already cleared the concussion protocol despite playing on Monday Night Football and will play this week barring any setbacks.
Zamir White, Las Vegas Raiders (Quad)
White is questionable this week with a quad issue. He has been relegated to being a fantasy afterthought, but his absence would boost Alexander Mattison's upside a bit.
Zack Moss, Cincinnati Bengals (Neck)
Moss is officially listed as doubtful for Week 9. Wheels up on Chase Brown.
Kendre Miller, New Orleans Saints (Hamstring)
Miller is not expected to play this week, and neither is Jamaal Williams. Alvin Kamara will see a massive workload against a tremendous Carolina Panthers matchup. Jordan Mims is expected to serve as the next man up and could actually have some value or even flex appeal in deep leagues.
Jonathon Brooks, Carolina Panthers (Knee)
Everything looked good for Brooks making his NFL debut this week, but he is not expected to be out there this week.
Keaton Mitchell, Baltimore Ravens (Knee)
The team is non-committal on Mitchell playing this week, which isn't a great sign that he'll make his season debut.
Wide Receivers
DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks (Knee)
Metcalf has once again been ruled out for Week 9.
Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (Knee)
This was a scary one. Nacua went down with an injury to the same knee that plagued him all season on Thursday. It doesn't sound like a long-term issue, but his status for Week 9 is definitely a question mark. Fantasy owners should also be very concerned about him being limited or getting re-injured even if he does play.
Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals (Quad)
Higgins will not play this week and is officially listed as doubtful.
Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars (Chest)
Thomas will be a game-time decision, as will his teammate Gabe Davis. With this being a late game, it causes a lot of problems for fantasy owners.
JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kansas City Chiefs (Hamstring)
After not practicing on Friday, JuJu's chances of playing this week are not looking good. His job is diminishing by the week anyway with DeAndre Hopkins now on the team and Xavier Worthy seeing increased volume.
Amari Cooper, Buffalo Bills (Wrist)
Cooper is questionable for Week 9. We'd expect him to be out there, but the situation is worth monitoring.
Xavier Legette, Carolina Panthers (Toe)
The rookie is legitimately questionable and could be a game-time decision this week. With Adam Thielen already ruled out, Jalen Coker could serve as the WR1 in Carolina.
Sterling Shepard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Hamstring)
Shepard looks to be on the wrong side of questionable for Week 9 after not being able to practice on Friday.
D.J. Chark, Los Angeles Chargers (Groin)
Chark looks like he should finally make his season debut this week. There is a chance he ends up being a top wideout in LA once fully healthy.
Tight End
Noah Fant, Seattle Seahawks (Groin)
Fant has been ruled out for this week and this sounds like a multi-week injury. Rookie AJ Barner is expected to get the start.
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles (Hamstring)
Goedert has once again been ruled out for Week 9 and hasn't shown many signs of improvement yet.
